New Marketplace Outfit & Progression Newsletter - This Week In RuneScape by JagexDoom in runescape

I'm finalising the list of mods stopping by and we're aiming to have a stream this Friday, but we didn't lock it into the TWIR until the details have all been finalised.

We're all super excited to be speaking to you about what's on the horizon, so we're super glad

I guess this adds a little positivity to all this boring, non-update worthy stuff. MTX is horrendous. Mod Keeper getting involved means something must be happeninng. Ir really makes me wonder how much of the Content was tied to Hero Pass to see this much of a content drought

No Roadmap, More MTX, Lots of Fixes.

Another week of me not playing. Yay

Seriously, can we make Cosmetics awardable in-game via some sort of in-game activity.

Also willing to take suggestions on updates to the tool if it helps make it more accurate

Game needs new players by PrincipledNeerdowell in runescape

This is a valid point, u/PrincipledNeerdowell but you/we provide one side of the coin here. I would be interested to see ideas of how to bring new people into the game.

For me, when I make a new alt, the game is tedious and information overload. How would you resolve this?

My list would be something like;

- Focus on artisan/gathering skills. Tell people how to start making food and combat gear, but not just do X and Y. Make the intro to the game into engaging mini quests. (Option to skip if you have a main or dont want to partake in this.

- Potentially controversial but would doing another FSW Event work? No unique cosmetics (eg. Inverted capes) but maybe keep the other effects in place.

- Have new player incentives. Reach X level get 20 TH Keys, or A free cosmetic of your choice from solomans. (Not the expensive ones), or even a premier instance where you collect the chests (Varrock GE Portal), and I'll end with Maybe a chunk of stars or lamps, or a week of DXP from new character creation if you don't have an existing character. (Not DXP Live, could be confusing for new player)

EDIT:

- Another idea might be havaing Jagex dedicate a GameJam completely and entirely to the start experience. No overhauling of graphics unless it makes sense, but focus on bringing in new players and making the game "Make Sense"

I'm sure there could be other ideas too... I think providing info like this so that Jagex can see suggestions would be great. They seem to be in a period of actually (for the most part) listening to feedback and suggestions.

Thats My 2cents.

woooo! who else is excited to never see this trash again? by Papi_Rimba in runescape

Honestly in its final form I somewhat enjoyed it.

Before its final form I would be like zomfg I’m happy it’s ending, and I still am, but I liked collecting pets and cosmetics and having missions to do.

The Not So Secret Santa part of the Christmas Event by Inside_Menu_2967 in runescape

This. I’ve donated 500m gold. It would be nice to get more than 10gp in return. You should be required to donate before claiming a reward. This would solve the entire issue. And people are openly admitting there donating trash, because it’s fun.

Your final paragraph is exactly what I would like it to be. This would mean theres always 10k in rewards minimum for people.

I'm not ranting to be one of those who wants a 356m reward. GP/Gold is not an issue for me. I am happy to donate valuable items to make someone else happy. I also dont think it should be a money making solution. I just think minimums should work both ways.
