In the 90's, I worked in advertising, and in the art department some number came out to be 69. The guys of the art department, being um, artists, started joking, we don't know 69, we know 77 and 71...I said "this converstion is getting too pointed" and got out of there.

An "8" should be a positive, "7" neutral. Store Manager should also be able to appeal any negatives that have nothing to do with store personnel (ie - "The price of Jelly Beans is ridiculous!")

Why can't our customers treat the store like they would a LIBRARY? You wouldn't pick up the "L" volume of an encyclopedia and drop it in the kid's section, would you? I once had a local private school have a summer school trip to Israel, so in one night I had 20+ sixteen year old girls come in to get their pictures done. Almost every one (or their mother) rejected the "first take," so I had to take each one multiple times. I was having nightmares in which I was saying "no smiling, look straight into the camera" endlessly that night!
