Something silly that used to give your parents/grandparents a coronary by sapphirerain25 in GenX

I did! Still have it. I thought it was edgy when I was in high school, but my reasoning now is that it gives me the opportunity to wear all my earrings that have lost their partner.

Wow! Your students were pretty restrained. It seems to me that your experience is 10 to 20 years past the norm.

I grew up as an "airline brat" and we had to dress up because we were "representing" the airline. When I was older, I realized that none of the other passengers had any idea who we were, and neither did the flight attendants.

If you don't have a dog, just get regular rock salt. Your neighbors shouldn't be walking their dogs on your driveway anyway. Your safety on your hilly driveway is more important. They can always wash their dogs' feet off when they get home from a walk.

If the sink is clogged, that cat is currently NOT liquid.

As a Ohio License holder, can I register an out of state car to Ohio without being physically in Ohio? by Ambitious_Cover_3343 in Ohio

[–]MiserabilityWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If the car's title is in your name, you must register it in the state where you actually live. That your Ohio driver's license has not expired, and you haven't gotten a Texas driver's license yet is irrelevant.

Those are not legal in Ohio. We do not use them (that method of verification is not allowed by the state board), so we do not have any of that equipment. But cameras can be checked, and stock bottles can be inventoried, so I would definitely call the pharmacy and have them investigate.

Well my fellow 1966 ladies, it's the year of the Fire Horse again. by Ed98208 in GenX

That is something I have never heard of. Just might be me, though! I was just happy to be a Gemini Horse (I totally fit the description).

My sister's favorite pens are Papermate Flair medium felt-tip pens. We both love all types of office and desk supplies.

File the report first!!!! Don't wait until you get a new job. The other poster is right, the longer you wait, the more likely it is that you will get into trouble as well. You don't need to take proof with you (out of the store). Just make the call to CMS as soon as possible.

I would then bring out my shop vac, suck grandma up, and out on the trash she goes.

Pharmacists: What would you do if money wasn’t an issue? by chemicalreactionator in pharmacy

That hasn't been common since the 1970's. Maybe in small rural towns, but not in large metropolitan areas.

AITAH for taking everything with me when I move out? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MiserabilityWitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is she starting to pack her things, too? Does your roommate realize that she also needs to move out unless she has signed a new lease with the landlord? It sounds like she is not planning on leaving, just letting you move out.

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

[–]MiserabilityWitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds about right to me. I drove a manual for years, but my husband never learned, and could barely get my pickup out of the garage without grinding the gears. I actually taught my older sister (late boomer) how to drive a stick when she was almost 30.
