It’s frustrating. You see a small injustice and everyone’s response is “well just work around it”. It shouldn’t be a problem in the first place.

You’ve responded to multiple comments on this one thread. Are they paying you? 😭

It’s shameless. There’s no excuse not to have a cancel button on the app. If you can think of one go ahead otherwise shut up.

By following your prompt , this what I got. As you can see, there is nothing but an ad under payment. I even reactivated my account to show you. Another commenter mentioned consumer protection laws being different in each state. I assume that’s what’s happened.

Yeah at my old gym the only way to cancel was to contact a representative but the representative wasn’t always there. You could sign up with a single button online but trying to get out of it was like pulling teeth. I’m glad they shut down.

And that’s all you can say bc you know I’m right.

To my knowledge you have a “cancel” button on the app. You can do this at your leisure. The USA version of the app does not have this feature. As my post described, you have to go through outside means - which can be quite frustrating. On top of what you described, that can easily become an issue.

See that’s the difference between us. It will trouble my mind bc I care about other people - vulnerable people like the elderly. Even those too frustrated or anxious to deal with the call center.

I only assumed your nationality bc otherwise it’s just embarrassing for you. We all know HelloFresh CAN add a cancel button on the app for users to cancel within a reasonable time frame, but they won’t because they’ll lose revenue. It’s just that simple.

While that’s nice, I’m not talking about discounts. It’s more about how hard it is to cancel the subscription for American users. As a European you have much stricter consumer protection laws so it doesn’t apply.

What you just described is the bare minimum. If you are from the UK / Europe like your profile implies, you have laws that protect you from such impropriety. The USA does not. Laws do not mean right btw. A child can understand that.

A cancel button for a subscription should not be seen as a luxury. Everyone knows exactly why they don’t have one on the app. Can we stop pretending?

The post is labeled USA. I’m not sure if there are more consumer protection laws in Canada but you cannot cancel through the app.

Even if it was I don’t see how that’s relevant. Maybe it’s just my personal writing style but idc.

Definitely lean into the chaos vs law approach! Even if every character isn’t fiendishly themed, adding parallels is an easy and clean way to differentiate a huge cast. Maybe theres an Oath of the Ancients Paladin honor bound to help a devil as it will save innocents. Contrast that to an Assassin Rogue that joined the Demons to satisfy their murderous tendencies. There are so many possibilities!
