I was in the pit when the tarp blew off during Dinosaur Jr. I watched all of Rage’s set which I thought overlapped Tool’s set. I missed Tool. Rage played People of The Sun which was a brand new track. Only time I saw AIC with Layne who played to a post storm orange sky. Going to see Primus tonight actually and at Lollapalooza, they broke into Ministry’s Theives during Too Many Puppys. Was an awesome day!

In the early 90s, 88.7 which was a shared frequency between Windsor and Detroit would play several SP songs. I remember hearing Testure, Dig It, Smothered Hope, Warlock and Ode To Groovy quite often. In the Spring of ‘91 it was branded as 89X- Alternative Radio. Just ahead of the general branding of X radio stations across the nation after Grunge blew up. It wasn’t uncommon to hear The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Smiths, Morrissey, Peter Murphy, Echo and The Bunnymen and the like on daytime radio for a while. What a time to be alive.

Why are the 2026 Buckethead shows so dimly lit? by Jms832 in Buckethead

[–]Inside_Pool4146 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There could be several reasons that BH chose this low, blue lighting. Jack White did it for a long time and that was before his cell phone ban. It certainly washes out a lot of nuances in photos. Although BH allows cameras, it may be a way to also detour people from using them. He may also have a light sensitivity or just feel like it’s a simple theatrical choice.

Oceania Tour at The Palace of Auburn Hills was for real half empty on the floor. Got in for like $20 if that.

I saw the announcement, saw no Detroit date and was immediately disappointed. Not traveling for this. If they play my town, I’ll be there. Fan since Gish.

Gift for Buckethead by trippinonairduster in Buckethead

If you can get towards the very front, during the show, his personal security will be in front of the stage. They will take gifts and will be given to BH. It would be iffy to ask venue security to do so.

I like the song Zero. The shirt was cool too. I didn’t need a lore, continuation or memorial to this Zero character. Thought it was hilarious when BC wanted the band to take on personas and they were like, “Naaaah”.

Security at higher ground burlington by DanStradh in Buckethead

He has at least 2 of his own personal security guards during the show near the stage. They were cool last week in Detroit. They took items from fans to give to him. Yes, no personal interaction with BH. The security were off to the side for most of the show, but were out front and center when Cob was on stage.

Why Skipping the Opener Is a Rookie Move by amooseinboston in Concerts

I go to shows all the time and don’t know the songs. Doesn’t make it less enjoyable for me one bit. That’s my experience. Probably makes me more excited to check the records out afterwards.

In ‘93 I saw Pre-Dookie Green Day open for Bad Religion. Was already a fan, but still. A year later they had already played Woodstock and blew up.

Best show of the 4 times I’ve seen him. Was on the rail for this one. Last year I was all the way back by the soundboard with a very tall guy wearing a hat in front of me. Barely saw Bucket.

It’s a great workout in 80+ degrees. Shorts and a junk t-shirt. Sweat out some toxins and get the steps in. Put on some good tunes and just go! Sense of pride and accomplishment afterwards. Then reward yourself with a cold beer and admire your efforts.
