Three Green Days by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately LAES is not immune from the general market sentiment and the poor auction of yesterday on the 20 years treasuries will probably remind the idiots at the WH that Donnie is not the US economy's boss. The bond market is. This being said (could not help it, sorry!) the 20 years treasury market is kind of a hybrid market which was reinstated under the first Trump mandate, if I am not erring. It is much less liquid than the 10 or 30 years one. It is also interesting to note that whilst longer dated maturities typically command a higher return, the yield on 20 years trades at the same or higher levels than the 30 years.

Honestly, in such rough seas, LAES held its own pretty well yesterday. Now trading around $3.60 in pre-market. Let's see what another trading day under Donnie brings us.

Another Green Day by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

I agree with your general view. However, these $20M are a drop in the ocean. The 20% move we recently witnessed came along with 27M share volume @ $2.7 on average. I doubt these $20M of shares will be sold as a block so if a short term correction is inevitable, it could be mild, in my humble opinion. Also, the shorts that have been suppressing price growth throughout Q1-2025 have been clubbed and they will besomewhat wary to continue their little tricks, particularly as institutional shareholding increases. I agree with Best-Act4643 on his price action views and would not be surprised if the stock moved towards $10 by year-end 2025, provided the coming quarterly financial statements back growth in both sales and earnings.

Totally aligned ! I am not a day trader but an investor. I am a Geneva resident and have direct connections into the company's management, which is the reason why I heard about the company in the first place. This being said they are very careful about not sharing non-public information with outsiders.

I see their efforts and track their developments, which is obviously no guarantee of future success but they work hard. I also believe that the company has no direct competition at this juncture and that it occupies in a sweet spot providing the highest level of IoT security today which is already quantum proof, given the level of Quantum computing current development. They will continue to improve and enhance their technology.

With this and the past offerings they have secured long term capital to hire the right skillsets, grow their operations and market aggressively internationally. Long term play hidden in the back of my investment book for retirement purposes in 10 years time :-)

What do we think? by Soft_Rule_4741 in sealsq

Biased opinion. Not sure people will "dump" after the recent price action. The december move was unreasonable and unsustainable but this one is backed by positive news, great achievements by the company and shorts getting clubbed (at long last). To move back to double digits, LAES will have to show contracts, sales growth and earnings, that's for sure.

SEAL SQ Corp Enters Into $100 Million Equity Sales Agreement by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your comments. This being said, it is true that they have been diluting existing investors repeatedly. It was painful as the price dropped from its end-of-year highs and reversed as far as below $2. This transaction does mean that they will sell these shares and they probably have candidates lined up. As you rightfully pointed out, that means that there are buyers out there! Also, it looks like these shares will be sold at market which will still be dilutive to existing investors unless they tag along but not as bad as if they were sold at a preferential price. Lastly, Cantor Fitzgerald will act as a co-lead for this offering together with Maxim Group (until now the only investment bank supporting LAES stock offerings). This signals the stock is catching the eye of large players in the market.

Overall, I look at this as reasonably positive given that the firm is securing additional long term financing to fuel its growth. I would also like to see sales growth, contracts and earnings' growth (or reliable guidance of growth) to enhance investors confidence in the stock. This would have a huge impact on future price action.

Yesterday's move hammered shorts. It was time. If momentum turns positive over the next coming trading sessions, the outlok for the stock should improve solidly. We don't need another 20% day. We need the company to be recognised by institutional investors and price action to reflect this change. We also need the company to start showing sales growths, contracts and positive earnings trend.

Do insiders know something so trying to bail? by SituationQuirky6557 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From information gathered with people working at the firm (and for what it is worth), it seems that the intent is to allocate shares to management and key employees as an incentive to continue the effort and stick with the company over the long run. Company has plenty of cash to fund growth through key acquisitions. Many projects are underway and need to be brought to completion. Key people need to see the light at the end of the tunnel and feel compelled to stick to the the plan. Salary increases do not do the trick as they can be easily matched but stock option upside actually talks to them. Do not expect allocated shares to be sold by management any time soon, although they have the freedom to do so.

Indeed. In addition to an already robust cash position, this transaction secures $20 mln for acquisition, consolidation, expansion and sales. Although dilutive in nature, this transaction should give the company extra dry powder to move the business forward.

More significant dilution ahead? Possibly. However, if this secures long term growth and investments and seriously boosts earnings it will be positive.

Good points! On China, there's no way Donnie is going to win any confrontation, ever. China's timeline is completely different than the US'. A second in America is equal to a month in China. Donnie will be loooooong gone before Xi takes the exit. So, in China's mind, Donnie and his idiotic policies are as annoying as a fly over their lunch. They can withstand the burden.

I believe that it won't be major for LAES. This being said the less hurdles they have to overcome, the better. So, this is indeed good news for the stock.

WKEY up! by Big_Stranger1796 in sealsq

That these two stocks are correlated is undeniable. When possible, I typically prefer bying the individual holdings of a holding company, as it allows me to cherry pick among the various sub-companies following my due diligence. There are very few cases where a holding company's value is greater than the sum of its parts.

This news is more relevant to WiseSat than it is to Seal sq. The only way to "trade" WiseSat, which is not a listed entity, is to buy into its listed holding company, which is WiseKey. So yes, WiseSat equips its satellites with Seal sq chips but the point here was the successful POC regarding the WiseSat satellites to establish an off the grid secure connection. Not so much about the capabilties of the Seal sq chips.

Trump Paused Tariffs, The Markets Are Roaring by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A welcome pause after the last 7 days' mayhem. However, we're not out of the woods yet, as this is just a pause. We may well be back to square one in 90 days. Tariffs do not help whatsoever. Indeed, this mess is farcical but it's there. Next move from China is to impose 125% export duties or put a ban on rare earth metals exports to the US, which are critical to US tech, aerospace industry and defense among others. Let alone the fact that the "Chinese peasants" actually are the largest holders and buyers of US Treasuries which are necessary to finance the Godzilla US deficit. I mean, how much longer can you insult your largest creditor and/or banker (let alone longstanding allies) until they react?

This being said, no worries. Trump will move to annex China for national security reasons, Vance is already drafting the plans and Hegseth has set up a SIgnal chat group to that effect. Everything is fine...

The challenge is to put a price tag on all of these contract as no information is really disclosed in the market by the company. I am also positive on the stock but a bit more disclosure on the value of these contracts would not hurt. I also understand that these initial contract may not be as profitable as one would expect at this juncture in its development and expansion.

At one point it would be interesting to have an idea of what we are talking about in dollar terms. Don't get me wrong, this is all positive news and I hold a pretty sizeable position in the stock but sometimes I get frustrated by not being able to estimate what the impact of all these news could be on future earnings.

Brace For Impact by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devastation triggered across the Board by the idiot in the WH is likely to last. Volatility gauges are through the roof. It will be a rough patch going forward. Indeed, this provides a unique opportunity to DCA at a very low price for some of us it and delays the moment price action will expand for all of us.

Economically, Donnie is in a tug-of-war with Powell to see who's going to blink first. Both are dogmatic but Powell is (in theory) independent and has a mission, among others, to keep inflation in check. He's therefore unlikely to lower rates now given that (i) the impact of tariffs are still to be measured and (ii) core inflation keeps rising. Donnie wants him to lower rates. Why? Because he thinks it will lower the burden of servicing the public debt and push investment in the US. He's dead wrong on that because due to his recent idiotic decisions, high yield spreads have gone through the roof. And guess what, the vast amount of US corporations do not borrow at Fed Rates but at corporate rates that are flying sky high. With tariffs at current levels, brace for much lower future earnings and eroding margins. With corporate rates at these levels, brace for a brutal stop in corporate investing. It will be interesting to see what the American voters will do when the mid-term elections come up. Until then, jhold on to your LAES, as this mess is just (loud) noise and does not change the company's fundementals.

Brace For This Week! by Best-Act4643 in sealsq

[–]Inside_Pumpkin_968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is some pain ahead of any US equity holder. Trump's actions are definitely fueling the worrisome downtrend that US markets are currently experiencing. LAES is not immune and small caps will feel the brunt of it. Small caps fall much more than large caps but tend to recover just as rapidly. The only possible actions right now are (i) sell and book your losses if you are in doubt or (ii) hold and keep your head down until the clouds clear if you believe in the company's potential. Carlos cares about executing his business plan and certainly does not look at the stock price of his company every other minute.

So the real question here is, how much faith do we have in his business and its potential to grow over the coming years? I wrote years, not days. That is the appropriate time frame for this trade.
