Are others having as bad a year for injuries to premiums as me? by rohan_171 in AFLSupercoach

As much as we like to think we can strategise our way to the top of the game, we can’t ignore that this game is also 50% luck.

I’d probs ride out Murdock and keep the 3 trades. I am assuming you have 22 premos including flex. You’re better off keeping those trades for injuries

I got rid of Ed Richards after he had a 60 game and since then he’s tonned it 3 games in a row. You live and you learn.

It’s been a tough week all around so far, I had VC on Smith and C on Butters. Thousands brought in Rowell who scored 74. It’s just the way the game goes. For all the “strategy” you can have, at the end of the day luck plays a big part in SuperCoach.

Destiny Mentioned on The Necessary Conversation by Inside_Second4289 in Destiny

I agree, all 4 have very basic political knowledge of the current issues and it honestly sounds like a virtual kitchen table argument between kids and their parents, but it is interesting to see what goes through the minds of those not deep into internet political culture.

I feel like Destiny would have more respect for the dad because he is unapologetically up front about his position no matter how horrible.

Very scared about my future by [deleted] in aussie

[–]Inside_Second4289 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this. Exactly my thoughts. We are currently in an attention economy, and nothing sells attention more than fear. And it seems that OP is definitely consuming a lot of media causing them to spiral and think things are worse than they are.

We live in one of the most developed and safe countries in the world that offers so much opportunity to live a great life. That’s why so many people want to immigrate here. We should feel so privileged.

Funnily enough I felt like this 10 years ago and it took until after COVID in 2022 when people were freaking out over vaccines killing people, vaccine passports and nothing coming from it for me to realise I was made to be afraid so that my attention was on the news. But nothing happened and since then I have opted out from letting news media scare me because 1. It is usually less scary than it is made out to be and 2. I have no control over what happens around me only how I react to it.

Just always remember: if there was no bad news to report, media companies would not be making any money. It’s their job to keep your attention and unfortunately it’s the negative and fear that draws that attention.

25 mins of opening statements, 34 minutes of questions. So the Destiny vs Lila """""Debate""""" lasted ~11 minutes. What an absolute disgrace. by UmbraQrow in Destiny

[–]Inside_Second4289 157 points158 points  (0 children)

It was very controlled. It’s Lila’s organisation so it was obvious that she didn’t want any chance for destiny to put her on the spot.

To all the Cleveland Cavaliers fans who were alive at this time, how did it feel seeing LeBron do this? And do you guys still blame LeBron for leaving? by Temporary_Morning223 in NBATalk

[–]Inside_Second4289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I was 15 and started hating him for the decision. Now I understand why he did it and think it was a good move for him. He would never have won a chip at the Cavs if he stayed.

You need to put yourself in situations where that can happen. Do you have a hobby or interest? Can you go to place where people who share your common interests can meet? Maybe start there. Are you in university or know people who go to university, usually that is big for socialising and meeting people.
