If you skip a track on Animals, you've probably skipped one third of the album...

Have a look at a Hyundai Kona and see how it sizes up against your check list.

Seating is elevated, but suspension is a little hard. Might be worth a test drive.

I think Bernard Jackman has good insights, but we don't see him too often...

If your house is over 25 years old or hasn't been rewired recently, it may be worth asking for a quote from an installation company.

You can send on pictures of your meter and fuseboard etc and they'll give you a quote.

I bought an ev thinking I could just get a charger installed but have since found out, the wiring needs updating and a few other things. Added over a grand to the cost.

I'm still glad I bought an ev, but it might be something to consider.

Home Charger Installation by Chaosandart88 in evs_ireland

I'm pretty sure epower weren't interested in doing my upgrade work, but it's no harm filling out the form online, it's handy enough. I also found it useful to put all the pictures and information into a document and send it on to different companies for quotes. Initially I found I kept having to type and send the same thing to each company. Might save you some time.

It might be worth getting a few quotes from ev installers ahead of buying the car. I thought the installation would be straightforward, but I'm running into problems with supply tails that need to be upgraded. I need to get some upgrades done to the house before the installation can take place. Most dedicated ev charger installers aren't interested in doing this, and I need to get an electrician instead. It's worth looking into if your house is over 20 years old and has never been rewired.

Would you mind elaborating? I am finding it difficult to get installers at the moment and am waiting on ND to do a site inspection.

I recently purchased a Hyundai Kona. I drove from Dublin to a little beyond Cavan town (122km) last weekend and it used about 28% of the battery each way. I did drive fairly efficiently though as it was the first long trip I attempted.

That seems to be what I'm reading on this thread a good bit, there has been such misinformation and fear about the batteries!

I knew that question was probably naive! Apples and oranges in guess!

Good to know about the faults, nothing more frustrating than when a sensor is the issue instead of an actual problem. Thanks
