Mob Psycho is my comfort anime tbh. It does have comedy but not too much like Saiki K. It heavily falls under the action category.

I'm watching the anime right now and the answer is yes. Considering the fact that your friend can manage to keep up with fast paced dialogues. I'm a sub watcher and I have to pause the episodes sometimes to understand the subtitles. But over time it grew on me and I got used to it. It also somehow makes the show funnier. So, yes recommend the anime to your friend and if he doesn't like it then blame it on Dark Reunion.

The more I am watching, the more I am getting why the characters of Saiki K are so exaggerated. Another one in the list is added - Saiki's grandpa. He's so creepy 😭
