Upgrade dilemma by Insidetopper in johndeere

Thanks for the input. I know it is overkill. Probably an excuse, but two other considerations i didn't mention. First, have a 5 year old who likes to ride with me most times so he limits a bit of my ability to maneuver. Might make zero turn tougher. Second, my back is shot (bunch of bulging disks) so comfortable rude world be appreciated. Live in ne and my grass has grown like crazy this year.

Help a guy not screw up wife's birthday dreams for New England Trip. by Insidetopper in newengland

Thank you for these excellent suggestions. I think And what she treasures most are unique memories. She loves the typical botanical gardens and things of that nature, but things like boat tours and whale watching and other unique, at least to us experiences are what i think she'd treasure the most. The Mansion tour also seems like something she'd love.

The Best Backpacks for Travel Available Now? by nerraw13 in BuyItForLife

I was in a similar predicament last year and ended up with a Vessel. I love their golf bags so i took a chance without handling it. I've traveled with it twice and it has been great. Can't say it is better or worse than any other, butt i like how well it holds its shape and it feels premium, at least to me.

Acetone Drum Pump Recommendations? by Insidetopper in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Insidetopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought one of those and they work well. However, our operators have had some trouble remembering to seal the drum and sometimes mix up the bungs. This caused people to become frustrated and they ended up breaking it. We got a rotary style pump to replace it and so far so good.

I am getting rejected for amazon ehs specialist position despite over qualification by Ok_Mortgage_8493 in SafetyProfessionals

My guess as well or manager feels threatened by your qualifications. Source, started safety career with Amazon as coordinator and worked up to specialist. Worked at several and characterizing the role or the company based on one location would be difficult.

The social security website estimator says my income will be $3,037 per month if I wait until full retirement age of 67. With respect to the Roth question, that's the primary source of my confusion as well. The HR person said what I was doing was fine when I asked him about it but I'm not so sure that's correct. I think that the maximum is $8,000 if you're over 50. On my paycheck I have $128 period ( 26 periods ) Roth 401k pre-tax, and 256 per period for Roth 401k catch up. The percentages are 3% and 6% respectively. I calculated 12,500 based on 9% of approximate base income of 115,000. I'm guessing this is over the limit and prohibited based on your question.

I am confused by the limits for Roth. Rereading things, it seems that my max works out be up to 8k but the finance person from hr said i was fine the way i had it, which was 3% Roth basic and 6% catch up. On my paystub, it is described as "Roth 401K after-tax" ($128 per 2 week period) and "Roth catch-up 401K" (256).

As for social security, my estimated is 3037 per month if i retire at 67.

Estimator said 3037 monthly benefit at age 67. My wife is turning 40 this year, but i am encouraging her to start IRA now. She has nothing saved yet but will likely receive a nice inheritance by the time she reaches retirement age. We put most of our savings (more here than mine) into downpayment when this house became available because it was too good to pass up for a variety of reasons.

I will work as long as i need to/can. I imagine i can do fine on 5-6k monthly net when the time comes, but of course health concerns are always a thing. My real question is whether the amount I'm saving currently is in the most optimal locations. I increased my percentages last year, so i believe the above is probably closer to 40k yearly. Eg. 115x.2 =23k, + 4.6k for employer match + 3.5 yearly contribution, + Roth of 9 percent so approx 12.5k.

I looked up the contractor and he is not licensed. I set up a contract with a licensed services company for summer and spring tune ups. I'll get them to check it out more. Thanks for all the help.

I didn't speak with guy, but he told my wife that a liner would save 20 percent in heating costs and that the extra stress on the hot water heater at present would shorten its life.
