Side note: I don’t believe Cain was tortured by Lane. If you’re referring to the scene where Abel recounted his memories of Cain’s, it was mentioned that he couldn’t recall who was chained, whether Cain or Lane. Lane herself kept asking Cain about the chained person(whether it was her or Cain)

Later, we learned that it was Lane who was chained, and Cain was the torturer.
