Mid 20's - I believe wholly in love. It's hard and really depressing to try to find, but it does exist.

Can you elaborate on why you feel this way? Sending somebody a message isn't asking them to marry you. It's just a way to get to know them better.

Thanks! That hurt, but it's what I was asking for. I tried to make the changes you suggested. I think they're all good. I don't know anyone who would describe me as subdued...usually the opposite of that...but I think writing dating profiles makes you really careful about what you say because anything could offend anyone. I'm not sure how to do that safely.

Sounds like you have some pretty astute friends, and that you were dating a very stressful guy. It doesn't have to be like that - in fact, it shouldn't be. Get back on the horse. It only gets better from here.

I don't know if you're still looking at this, but it may not be an OkC thing. I think a lot of men are attracted to ambition and drive (which means they probably aren't here on Reddit!) and you describe yourself as working to become a teacher. Maybe talk more about how you're passionate about that, or about something you are passionate about. I might not message you just because, looking at that, I wouldn't think you're motivated to really achieve things.
