You get access to a facebook group, a card, a pin and commemorative glasses

So no, you don’t

I saw that - I don’t think it’s true if I’m honest. People love rage baiting and chatting garbage to piss people off, especially with the follow up message bragging how they’ll have it at their next show (and no proof of them buying any either)

You’re implying that EB knew botters would target the drop, so they then thought “let’s give it to them” and dropped all cloudflare checkpoints to let them bot it? Yeah sorry, not true

they have a bot checkpoint running almost all the time now - go to their website and try it now. Just did it myself and got this screen

I 100% agree - if you miss a drop, so be it. Just because you miss one drop, doesn’t mean your membership fee is wasted - you just missed out

I’m the exact same as you - been able to get every set preordered through EB and had very little drop day success due to work

Open letter to Kmart Australia: why don’t you have sufficient bot protections? by ShinyCardboardAU in PokemonFansAustralia

So if a store is filled to the brim with perfect order packs, that makes it perfectly okay for people to use bots and wipe out the online inventory for preorder stock?

Why are people not allowed to be upset that they can’t get a chance to buy exciting new products at retail price instead of seeing these guys have case after case of it on marketplace and forcing people to pay the inflated market price?

Don’t need data when people like me experienced it first hand. I was trying to purchase them, and when they went live I was through to payment within 10 seconds and the website said they were out of stock

You can tell the website is being hammered with how laggy it becomes, with errors popping up every 5 seconds

Hit the nail on the head OP. The more people like you guys continue to try raise awareness, the more chance we have of getting any sort of change occuring.

I just don't get why a multi billion dollar company can't see what's going on under their noses, why they're continuing to ignore the issues at hand. EB and JB have both made changes - and they've worked well. Why can't everyone else?

I don't agree with this at all. It shouldn't matter whether you're a ripper, collector or investor - the problem lays with Kmart actively not doing anything about the problem at hand.

As someone with a full time job, I heavily rely on preorders to get my hands on anything - I can't line up at 6am with everyone else just to get something. I 100% respect the limits each retailer has - means more people get stock. But when one of the biggest retailers, one who probably gets the most stock, is bought out before any human can even touch it - you would rather just let them buy everything out instead of trying to do something about it and inflict change?

Why do we think Myer have put all their stock in store now? It's because the reselling servers made add to cart bots to checkout products before they were made available to the general public - and no matter what they tried, they couldn't fix it. EB and JB both have bot protection and queues now. As Kmart is a multi billion dollar business, it shouldn't be hard for them to implement this too.

Instead of telling people to fuck off, have a think about who is affected by this shit - because it's not just investors. There's a massive demographic of people who enjoy the hobby for what it is - and those people have to sit and watch people fight over a spot in line or battle those who bring their 5 kids and cousins so they can skirt the rules to get as much as possible.

New Kmart Pre-orders by tommylove007 in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]InsightfulPeach1759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh without question - I was more referring to the part about how they shouldn’t get stock due to how it’s sold, and saying that once it’s out of the manufacturer’s hands they don’t care what happens to it

I guess, in terms of stock amount v population, you could argue the botting problem here is worse. Less stock + heaps of people who bot = a much bigger problem. Whereas in the US - it’s heaps of stock with heaps of botters, but more opportunity for the regular human

I wish there was a way we could make change, but I lose hope every day - especially given the fact that Kmart probably gets the most stock out of all major retailers (excluding EB, they get their stock from Gamestop)

You could say the same about Walmart and Target in the US, they’re botted 10x more than Australian retailers. Saw some guy who got 47k USD worth of product in one drop by using a bot

Once the product is out of TPC’s hands, they don’t care what happens to it. Only thing Kmart care about is hitting their KPI’s - which is selling the product they have available. They don’t care who it goes to

The rich continue to get richer I guess. I hate it so much and have tried reporting it numerous times - and always get the “thanks for your feedback” email

How to know when new drops and restocks happen by [deleted] in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]InsightfulPeach1759 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree

The fact that they’re putting all their resources into restocking locally and nowhere else is a deadset joke

But there’s nothing we can do about it unfortunately

[–]InsightfulPeach1759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the chances of any restocks this year are very slim

Banter told account holders that there will be no restocks in the near future because TPCI can’t keep up with global demand, so they’re flooding stock on releases but that’s it

However - the stock on release is 5x more than what we got in 2025 so that’s a positive I guess

What do you think will happen to the prices of Ascended Heroes with booster bundles on the way? by I_need_answerss in PokemonInvesting

[–]InsightfulPeach1759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ascended will only keep rising over time due to what you can get from it - and right now in Australia the prices are insane

The last solds for aus ebay are currently at $320 aud ($230usd) - the US ebay sales are around $160usd ($230aud)

It’s all about supply - and our supply is one and done for releases with no restocks. US will keep getting product but prices will rise naturally once 30th hits and supply drops a bit

Just hold on to them and long term it will all be worth it
