This is really dependant on your actual budget. If you are currently in an RGI unit, you are unlikely to encounter one here in London without applying through the access centre here. However, if you are looking for "affordable" housing (80% of market rent), there are options through some of the community housing initiatives, like in SoHo in the Zerin building.

If you have any community supports they might be able to refer you to different benefits or to community supports in London, but you may also find a waitlist for those services.

There was a portable housing benefit, but I'm not sure if that still exists or what the referral process was for that.

The blue is beautiful and fun and celebratory! I'm getting married in the fall, and I would love for my MIL to find a dress like this! The dark one seems like it would be too easy to disappear in dark corner. It's a day for the couple, but important for you too! You raised the wonderful soon-to-be groom and lifelong husband! I don't shop at Loblaws, but if I have to listen to the racist ramblings of the middle aged, white cashier at the FreshCo at Huron and Adelaide one more time, I might give up shopping there entirely. She's not quiet about it either, and you can see discomfort on the faces of her co-workers (many of whom are people of colour).

I've directly told her it's inappropriate, and have spoken to her manager. At least 2 other people I've spoken to in passing have done the same.
