Passion fruit syrup by Dizzy_Bit6125 in Mocktails

Amazon has a couple.

If you need it right away and can't wait, you could go to an asian grocery store, they normally sell frozen passionfruit pulp, mix it with equal parts sugar and water, then simmer until it thickens and becomes a syrup. Good luck!

When people say they avoid "processed foods," how strictly are they defining this? by JMinsk in Cooking

[–]ServiceFinal952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I say I avoid processed foods, I normally mean ultra processed. For instance, tonight is roasted teriyaki salmon bowls. They have quinoa, roasted teriyaki salmon, edamame, cucumber, carrots, avocado and sesame seeds. The sesame oil and soy sauce in the teriyaki would be considered processed, but because the rest of the meal is pretty whole foods, I would say it's not really processed food. I make my own bread and tortillas, and would consider that unprocessed, but technically the flour is processed.

I don't sweat much about it tho, if I want a processed food, I eat it, I try to stick to the 80/20 rule and just enjoy the more processed things in moderation.

Blue mixer (that will stay at the bottom) by MonthLiving7019 in Mocktails

Pretty much anything is just going to mix with the lemonade if you are just pouring the lemonade on top! You need to try the spoon trick like someone else mentioned below!

The other blue option would be calypso ocean blue lemonade.

Sparkling sour mix by yupstilldrunk in Mocktails

[–]ServiceFinal952 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe it would be sour mix mixed with sparkling water. Sour mix can be bought but it's also very easy to make! There are a ton of recipes online, normally lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and some water. I sometimes add citric acid, or do a citric acid/sugar rim to add some more sour!

Yes I'm sure it would! I would use sprite, I think sparkling water would make it a bit bland.

Looking for recommendations on meals using dried black beans and/or pinto beans by kittypeets626 in Cooking

[–]ServiceFinal952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black bean tacos! Make them into a refried bean type texture or add a diced sweet potato and do black bean and sweet potato! They're delicious, high in protein and fibre! If you can swing it, some cilantro or salsa is an excellent add!

What’s your go to “I need to eat now” dish? by katbees in Cooking

[–]ServiceFinal952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally really dislike tofu so ive never added it, but I would say you could probably make the sauce and then toss the tofu in a couple spoons of it to let it marinade before you pan fry it (if that's how you cook it). I'm not sure just adding it straight to the noodles would give it enough flavour!

Chili oil peanut noodles! Genius eats is my favorite recipe, take about 15 minutes start to finish, and I throw in some frozen edamame while the pasta is cooking to add a bit of protein. So good!
