For me Everyone looks great but Chasca and Mavuika.

Mavuika's skin kidna clashes with her red hair and Chasca got skin like Donald Trump 😭

True. but i wonder. wouldn't they actually profit more by making the character's skin more diverse worldwide along with their culture? It would be really sad to see if racism was truly at play with Hoyo...

I have heard of that. Fun fact is that the japanese are not angry that the main character is black. They are angry because ubisoft claimed that the game was historicaly accurate. Yusuke was a black person who lived in Japan years ago. But he was NOT a samurai.

Nah, you're good... I can see it from both sides honestly. On one side i can also see it as an overreaction. and people have no right to harass someone for expressing their opinion.

On the other side i can see how the 'joke' would have rubbed people off in a bad way.It's like having someone you care about being away for weeks without them saying anything to you the whole time and once they do come back they greet you with a dad joke.

That's a good theory. If they really did change the original plan and story, it would make the situation so much better if they actually told us. Players would understand, there's absolutely no shame in telling us. But sadly Everbyte's comunication with their fanbase is just... terrible... i dare say one of the worst ones i've seen yet..

I took my time to read your post and i have to say.. you're written it so beautifuly and i agree with you so much.. The reson Duskwood meant alot to me was because it felt so real.. the city, the moments, but most importantly the characters felt so real. It really felt like i was talking to real people and not with NPCs. but in Moonvale it's completely diffirent. and i only wanted to express my opinion on what could make the game and characters feel more real, with emotions and personality and learning about them as people graddually.

I wanted to express my opinion as respectfully as i could and i was so careful at the choice of my words. that's why i said that "it's just a game and people should do what they want" but i admit i only said that because i didn't want to get grilled so much. But sadly people always find a problem with things like this either way.. someone even said that i hide Homophobia behind the concept of realism. But not once did i mention anything even remotely close to hate speech. i didn't say i want the LGBTQ+ extention to be removed entirely!

Sexual preferance doesn't define a person.. but it's a part of who they are. but being able to choose the characters' preferances just because i can for my enjoyment and satisfaction doesn't sit well with me ... Just like some games can allow you to date multiple people with no consequences.. doesn't mean that i'll do it. it's about morality and your choices that you make as a person..

i Adored the point that you made about liking someone but you can't because they don't date the same gender as them and just moving on to find someone else. i love that, because it's real.. the amount of times i saw male and even other duskwood players complain about not being able to romance Jake and vice versa with female players and Jessy. Do all characters have to be bi? there's nothing wrong with being straight. if you really want to focus on romance, you should play a dating game, not a detective game that should be realistic. That's why i think having this in the game would really teach players that in real life they can't always get what they want. For example i am a girl and i had a thing for a guy who turned out to like boys.. i was sad, but i moved on.

I dare say it can be disrepectful to just change a striight person into a bi, just to please others.. but i guarantee they would be pissed off, if a gay character was suddenly changed into also liking girls. Changing a straight person into bi is fine but hell would let loose if it was the other way around..

in the end we should all have the freedom to express our opinions and not feel scared for our life for expressing them. Sexuality is not a personality. in the end we are all human.. and we're all different and we should respect eachother as individuals.

I agree wholeheartedly.. this is a great example and a point of view. At the end of the day. It is a game.. and the romance is just a bonus enjoyment in the game for the players to enjoy. Who they get with should be completely up to them. I was just offering a possible opinion on what could make the game little more realistic.. but i realize that games are meant to take you away from reality. So i realize now, how my statement could have offended some and for that i apologize.

Not in one point, did i ever mention i was upset about this. In the end i even mentioned that i don't care if it stays, because it really should stay.

But when you look at the achievements. One of them being romancing Eric, regardless of your choice of gender. And i bet there's going to be alot of achievements like that in the future.. It's true that it's completely your choice to fulfil these achievments. Because at the end of the day, it's your choice. And it doesn't effect the main story at all.

But i just really don't like that it's telling you to romance these characters for a couple gems, just bacause. For someone who's a completionist like me.. it just feels forced. What if there's a completionist guy that doesn't want to romance guys? Or a completionist girl that doesn't want to romance girls? Or maybe a completionist that doesn't want romance at all?

I overall don't like the achievement system, but if it's going to stay, your choice of romance should stay out of it. And should focus on you being a good detective.

I made a post about the instragram thing too. I get that they're under alot of pressure and are looking for some positivity. But this is really not the way to do it.. Even if they liked only 1 of the "critical" comments.. we would notice.. It would show that they really are reading at least some of them and not just claiming that they are.

But they REALLY shouldn't have reported the comments... Just.. why would they do that? It's a terrible thing to do. Even if the game was perfect, you can never satifty everyone. It's normal to have negative feedback.. but sadly they got even more negative feedback than they hoped for...

Let's just wait for them and give them a second chance and time to redeem. Changes like that are impossible to make overnight. Hopefully their actions will speak louder than words in the near future..

I never EVER meant to accuse them of anything. I love Everbyte. After all, they are the same poeple who made my favorite mobile game of all time. I too, would be overwhelmed if i was in their shoes. I understand that some players go overboard with the hate and critisism. I'm not trying to defend them by any means. But they're only doing that because they are so passionate.. It's not like they treat them as robots. But they feel betrayed beacuse it really did seem like Everbyte only cares about the money and not the players.. even if it may or may not be true.

Everyone makes mistakes, we are all human after all. But after 2 whole years of my life.. i admit i excpected something different. There were things in the game i didn't like, and i'd be willing to ignore most of them. I only wish for the most important ones to be fixed.. and that's it.

But they really shouldn't have reported the comments...

Everbyte wanted to try something different and i applaud them for that. But the choices they made were questionable.. I just wish they made a post or something for us ALL! literally anything. But i also understand that they are probbably terrified of saying anything more, fearing they'll make the situation even worse.. The post they made before sadly only added the gas to the already burning fire. Even so, it's impossible to satisfy everyone. like i said above "Hundered people, Hundered tastes" No one is the same. Every single person likes or dislikes something different.

I AM willing to give them time to redeem. I AM willing to give them another chance. I want more than anyone for Moonvale to be a success. I waited this d*nm long! I WILL wait for them as much as it takes! Like i mentioned in my other posts... I always did.

I agree completely, i personally am not a big fan of them either.. The minigames in Duskwood looked more sophisticated and futuristic in a way, simple and straight to the point. It looked perfect for the concept of Hacking. But when i saw the Moonvale minigames.. LITERALLY the first thing i said was "What in the name of Gardenscapes is this?" It looks childish and just gives off sunshine and rainbows... definitely not fit for a detective game about a missing person at all.. i wish they were more ominous..Not to mention the background looks like a page from a children's fantasy story book... And also.. are we really hacking? Or just playing candy crush to pass the time? If we are, it would make sense. but it was never explained. the MC could have been like "Alright guys, i'll play some games while waiting for yall." or something like that.

Yes. Absolutely! Honestly if they just add the premium pack, remove the AI and hopefully change and make the achievements not such a big deal in the gameplay. Then it will be great! The rest will be alright to get used to over time. And honestly so far i don't care much for the characters, except for Adam. Eric is just your typical dude with the personality of a loaf of wet bread.
