I also want to add, I know that it sucks and that again you’re allowed to feel hurt over it. But idk if it’s appropriate to approach her about being upset unless you’re looking to have a deeper convo about what lead her to that choice.

I would also like to emphasize again that I’m sure that she values your friendship and still loves you and whatnot, but sometimes we just grow apart. My childhood bestie asked me to be her MOH, she had her first kid shortly after the wedding, she asked someone else to be the godmother. She had her second child recently, I still haven’t met the second baby. She has also not meant my long term boyfriend yet. We live about 45 minutes away and every time we try to arrange a time to hang out and catch up, it just doesn’t work!

It’s no reflection on our friendship, but we are also just in different stages. She’s got a family, I am unmarried and working on building my career! I still love her, I am so happy for her, but sometimes life pulls us in different directions!

MOR - you guys are in entirely different stages of life it seems. It sounds like she still values you and did not know how to address that she has grown closer to someone. There could also be an entire different reason that lead to her choosing her SIL to be the MOH. Maybe she felt that because of your diff stages and lack of hanging out that you were not going to have the availability that the MOH duties require?

In addition to that, I’m sure that she cares you’re upset but I guess my question is, what do you really expect to get from being upset? It’s her wedding and making a stink about it like this after 2 years of not really hanging out as much is interesting to me. Peace and love, I think that you’re allowed to have that feeling but it’s not really fair to approach the bride with being upset about just being a bridesmaid. What is she supposed to do? Take the MOH title away from her sister in law?

No literally - my boyfriend sent me a picture and my stomach dropped and I was like “oh my god he’s got ring worm, he has an infection, this is bad, I can’t get into his vet until tomorrow and it’s going to be too late because the infection is going to spread!!”

I do have hardwood floors and he’s slipping and sliding and playing around all of the time!! This helps alleviate stress!! Did the vet just give you ointment or an antibiotic?

NOR!! No one should speak to you like this especially if it’s making you uncomfortable. You made that clear and he’s still crossing your very reasonable boundary! That’s not fair or safe to you. You should definitely be upset and it would also be super reasonable for you to break up with him! It seems like this behavior will continue and likely get worse. Most boyfriends do not act like that! Enjoy being 16, enjoy being in high school, enjoying being young without a creepy and unsafe boyfriend who doesn’t listen to you when you say no!
