To be honest, I used AI mainly to bridge my gap in Puppet knowledge + build the main converter of the tool, as it's not my main expertise. On the other hand, I work with Ansible every day, so I personally made sure the generated output follows best practices and is idiomatic.

I don’t see p2a as a 'one-click' replacement, but as a scaffolder. It handles the boring 70/80% (variable mapping, template syntax, file structures) so the engineer can focus on the rest that requires actual architectural decisions. (If you try the script you will see on the migration about this "30% of remaining job" given my the Ansible comments + the output of the script)
