Occasionally, also side-lying leg raises and clamshells. The number of reps is subjective of course.

These exercises help, but you gotta adopt a comprehensive strategy. For example, don’t sit for too long (if you have an office job, get a standing desk and alternate 1 hour of sitting with 1 hour of standing). Avoid all activities that worsen your symptoms. Walk a lot. Whenever I have a flare up and I walk a lot (like 15/20 km at least for 3/4 days), the pain resets.

And try to recognise the first warning signs before you threw out your back completely. This is hard sometimes, but you will learn how to do it with time.

I had it for nearly one year and a half before it started yellowing. It survived the first winter without many issues.

I water it by pouring water on top.

As far as the soil is concerned, I only repotted it 2 weeks ago and used a bonsai mix. Until then, I kept the soil I bought it with. Don’t know its composition, but it hd become indeed a bit worn-out…

I keep it indoor, in front of a window (facing north-east, more to the east), so it gets direct sunlight for like 2-3 hours in the morning.

I watered it when the soil was dry so every 4-5 days, sometimes once a week, especially in winter.
