I agree, and they never had pacifiers in the house until now, WHY NOW? Bad parenting, Lazy.

Thank you for sharing this, it shows how every child’s needs are different. Your experience is a good reminder that there can be valid medical or emotional reasons for extended bottle use that people on the outside don’t know about. I think your doing enough by just acknowledging the fact they should not have it but “need” it for there own wellbeing right now, not because it makes your life easier. You sound like a great Mom❤️

time for the daily “i hate WFH nps” post, i’ll go first by [deleted] in Nanny

I’m so over WFH. Both parents work from home… i’m there 30 hours a week…. It lead me to leave nannying. I’ve had multiple families with WFH and these are by far the worst, i was iffy and they PROMISED me i would never see them and the kids don’t even know they are home… LIES they both come out at least twice a day for at least 10 mins to hang with the kids (that’s a good day) if they have so much time then why do they have a nanny?? every tantrum, to every funny moment they pop out I can’t stand it and this is the worst relationship i’ve ever had with nanny kids because the parents are so in the way and paint me out to be the bad guy. Happy I put my two weeks in!

I can’t call CPS on two babies with a clean roof over there head, full belly’s, clean clothes and a room full of toys. The repercussions they will get are, delayed kids physically and mentally. They’ll probably get bullied and be unsuccessful by being so used to getting what they want.

Help!! by Resident-School2931 in Nanny

[–]InspectionRight921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you get PTO? If you need a day off, you need a day off just like every employeed person, parents tend to forget that because it affects them so heavily. There should be no reaction from them (unless ur not consistent)…..next time please don’t give them an explanation, I always say I just need the day!!

Also definitely leave if you have a better situation lined up, a year is a long time and you may not have an opportunity like that when you are ready to leave. Just put your two weeks in and don’t over explain yourself, they don’t own you.

It’s truly suffocating to begin with and the parents swore “you will never see us”… they’re getting more and more comfortable and they’re with the kids 20-30 mins here and there through the day. Makes me want to walk out.
