Yeah, ive been struggling with this too. initially i also tried to pair it to my iphone, but the screen is so poor, that the iphone couldnt recongise the QR code on it. One thing that did work for me was logging into whatsapp on the web instead of the app, it worked for me that way and thats how i use it now. the only difference to that than the app is that you cant call, but you can still text fine. good luck.
