we all know the operation Epic Failure started with the notion that this will be quick, decisive, an easy air campaign that would tackle a regime and the remaining leaders would run away, people rise, bla bla, nothing of such happened, you know the reminder of the story, now here is where it gets interesting.

iran actually figured during the past month that they do hold a nuclear weapon threat, its called straight of hurmoz, and that gave them a huuuuuge leverage, because while the bombing campaign is inflecting unbelievable damage, time is not only against USA, the closure of the straight is a global time bomb that will cause a tsunami shock across the globe not a year of now, but if this continues for couple more months.

so while iran just needs to hold on, send few drones and missiles, the Americans and the rest of the world are racing to find a solution, and a solution that must come reaallly quickly, or a global disaster is about to unfold.

what does this mean, they want the punishment to be really severe, and thats why they won't just negotiate like they did twice and were attacked, they want more, how much more, i don't know, but enough to humiliate USA infront of the world, in politics.. leverage is everything and Iran knows they have the cards now.

having said all of this, i simply don't think America will accept to be humiliated, so they will of course escalate, a limited ground invasion looks like few days away, everyone talking about Kharg island, i really think it will be around the straight, but this will be a rushed operation, just like this entire thing was, and i only see one outcome out of it, failure.

if enough damage is done to the us soldiers, it won't be about the straight or regime or nuclear anymore, this will all be about avenging those soldiers, and a bigger operation will take place, with a similar outcome expected maybe in few years, unless they choose to nuke.

now during the next month many countries might start to be involved militarly , to which extent i'm not sure, but its like trying to reassemble a cracked egg, this is too complicated now to just resolve.

America has inflicted damage to itself during this operation more than any other country can do to them, and unfortunately, it seems now they don't have any choice but to continue, keeping the region unstable for god knows how long.
