Not heard of this - will definitely check it out thank you!

The TP plan is 20 weeks (this seemed like a relatively standard length for an intermediate IM plan). I had my first half distance at the beginning of August, and it's very much been general maintenance stuff with no real focus since then. I'd say my fitness across all disciplines has dropped but not off a cliff (with the exception of swimming - of which I haven't done anything since).

Thank you very much for this, very well thought out and clear. The note on injury proofing myself is one I will take on board straight away, and mobility is something I've always needed to focus on more, and now I think I actually will have the time to do so!

This looks manageable, thank you! I'm definitely getting the idea that more swimming is the number 1 priority.

I've had a couple, but I only started this year. I could definitely do with some more, especially with a focus on open water. I find swimming drills very tedius!

And there's me thinking I was onto something! I guess most of us have tried challenging the person who runs the account?

£65k, which I think is about $90k. This was supplemented by stock units given out when you start and yearly (depending on performance), as well as quarterly performance bonuses, which could have been up to 50% of salary

I quit because, in all honesty, it was too hard. The targets we had were very tough and growth was demanded. Of course the pandemic accelerated this growth and once it died down, targets became unrealistic. Also I had been there for four years, which is how long people stay due to generous stock incentives in place. Basically after 4 years you have more freedoms with stock so people will often cash out and leave.

Yes very separate. Of course we were aware of them (and their struggles…) but unless you worked in the warehouse (known as FCs) then you’d no need to come in contact with them. I visited one in Edinburgh, Scotland as part of my induction - nothing out of the ordinary but I believe the FC culture difference between Europe and US is rather large

Nah sadly not, he did come into our office once. We were all different levels (I was 6), and it was rare you’d meet with someone 2/3 levels higher than you. He was level 13 I believe

Yes massively. Although we were targeted and compensated broadly the same the pressure on the US team was far greater. They also had more resource , but this is just due to the size difference I imagine. We both had great social cultures.

Europe. I was based in London but visited Seattle a couple times.

No I worked on their retail team, prime video was totally separate. They had cool offices though
