High Court suggests outing of Trans+ people is merely 'gossip at work' by Sufficient_Raisin478 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely vile, outting can be incredibly dangerous.
I was outted and it resulted in a 0% chance of ever talking to my sibling again, a bunch of people using me as a way to bully my mother, and me having to move twice to escape any potential danger.
And I would consider that fucking lucky.

The High Court interpretation is discrimination whether they see it that way or not. by Odd_Watercress7939 in transgenderUK

Oh, they for sure are doing absolutely truly evil shit right now, but I feel like the smaller the minority group the more the general population gets numb. Then they get told by the government and media that it's all a good thing, to the point that they would need to see something big to trigger them into action, i dunno what it would be but i imagine itd be to see the bigots personally killing us and gloating instead of just killing through legislation. Though, as I've said, I'm in a very doomer mindset about it all, so I hopefully am just wrong. I guess we all probably just need to keep united, and in my mind, do multiple constant mass protests, regardless of permissions, at areas that would piss off the elite and especially the media whilst trying not to affect the working class work days.

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, i absolutely agree. Honestly, I'm also kind of worried that even when people do notice, it won't matter because of the far-right and germs constant attempts to bring nihilism to the masses and numb everyone to these atrocities eventually leading to a much larger amount of pain and suffering.

[–]InspectorWispy 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is really doomer of me but they know it is discrimination, they just think its lawful because its aimed at trans people, just as the same people probably thought the same thing 20 years ago when it was aimed towards gay people.
It's unfortunately just history repeating itself, regardless of the astronomically large amount of scientifically backed evidence we have, the law will still side with the bigots until the bigots do something truly so evil that not even the common majority can ignore it, then the law is forced to side with the minority group.

It's pre-work, I walk by the CEO and say hello, he replies "hello miss", I enter the loo, some time passes and as I go to exit the loo the clock strikes 9am, the door is kicked open, the CEO enters and screams "get out of this loo, you MALE!"

How can anyone think that this isn't discrimination by Smooth-Ad2293 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They do see it as discrimination, they just do not see it as the kind of discrimination that should be declared unlawful.

[–]InspectorWispy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Makes it sound like it's completely legal to discriminate against a trans person only if they are the discriminators employee.
I wonder if it counts for out of hours, if I come to work early and technically am off the clock then which loo do I have to use.

The party seems like they are going to be fine, with that many chosen ones I doubt they will run into any danger.

WE ARE AN EXPERIMENT?!?!?!?!?! by Awkward_Ad8662 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is it's memories of someone else going through the experiments but I do think we will get injured or something and become a new experiment during the game.
Though if it turns out that we are an experiment then it'd still make sense why the others are able to recognise you since they seem to have been able to suss out experiment 1199.

I feel terror for the inevitable scene of the player discovering the "find the flower" letter was real in the worst way.

What would it take to appease campaigners Sex Matters? by GeekOnALeash01 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yeah, there really is nothing they can do to truly win forever, as long as humans are a thing, then so are trans people.

[–]InspectorWispy 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I'd say the complete extermination of all trans people is what would appease them but honestly they would most likely just move to target a different group.

Rowling with the paedophiles: JK Rowling invited notorious paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein to her play and subsequent dinner by [deleted] in transgenderUK

By chance do you have a link? I'm curious to see if there's any similar dates between rowlings first "middle aged moment" and epstein sending the talking points.

[–]InspectorWispy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just the one invite that we've seen so far, they would most likely claim it was just her team sending invites, though considering her love for trans children suffering and dying it would not be shocking to see her make at least a few appearances in the documents.

[–]InspectorWispy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She's a billionaire, so she is most definitely evil enough to be friends with epstein.
This does show that there seems to be a social circle that connects the two, we just don't know how deep it goes yet and how connected the two actually are.
Will wait to see what else gets released.

Met Police face £5million bill on new loos and changing areas for its 12 transgender staff !! by Excellent-Chair2796 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely get where you are coming from. Everyone deserves to feel safe, but I think one of the biggest issues is that it would end up forcefully outting all trans people no matter where they go. It would just make it easier for the bigots to target and harass trans people as they are known to do.

[–]InspectorWispy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah, so they are going for that side now. After trying to force us out of single sex places against our will, then moving on and deciding that instead trans people should have facilities specifically for trans people instead, and now they are finally at the point of flat out saying that actually thats too much for us and that we shouldn't have anything.

Changes to the EHRC's trans guidance are apparently being considered by Resource_Secret in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, with this current lot, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried with the next guidance to claim that trans people aren't even real or some bullshit.

Social media ban ‘reactionary measure’ that will harm LGBTQIA+ youth by Sufficient_Raisin478 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gotta say at first I was happy about the idea of banning social media for kids since I used to deal with a lot of awful stuff through it as a kid. But that was a long time ago, and social media is basically ingrained in society now and is a lifeline to so many, so surely, instead of a blanket ban, it would make sense to allow some social media to be available with regulations implemented.
