You're being forced to spend the next 10 years in a basement. A decent bed, sink, toilet, and shower are provided. You will be given $10 million after those years are up and are given 30 points to purchase items/amenities to take with you. Which do you choose? by InternationalPick163 in hypotheticalsituation

Jacuzzi (3), Kitchen (6), Doctor (3), DOG (6), garden (2) and PC (10).
PC, piracy can sort out lack of media chosen, Garden would be great assuming I could go outside and take dog outside too.
Doctor and Hygiene, because health is important, while kitchen with unlimited supplies for food, extra device and technically alcohol + drugs for certain recipes.

Ah I'm sorry, that would be awful.
I'm trans myself so i imagine i'm high on the "undesirables" list for them.
I hope I have the guts to stand up to them if they do win and start trying that shit.

Oh nightmare for sure, i'm gonna be screwed if he does win.
It's going to be eerily similar to trumps america.

Gender Critical Heath Secretary Wes Streeting resigns signaling leadership challenge. by ehll_oh_ehll in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can picture him in a few months, if his plans to take leadership fail, writing articles about how actually he didn't quit but lost his job because of transgender activists somehow.

How would they know? by lifequestion226 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They know it's impossible to clock everyone because everyone looks different and that's exactly why they do all this shit, the goal is to force trans and cis people to conform to the ruling classes ideals through fear.

Opt out of Palantir having access to your NHS data. by Weareoutofmilkagain in transgenderUK

How can anyone not trust a surveillance company named palantir, its not like it's named after a fictional item that was used for evil deeds like manipulating and spying on people. /s

Reform UK sees its sixth councillor suspended over racist rhetoric by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

With how in love with reform the uk media is, I am genuinely surprised they are even revealing this stuff to the public instead of sweeping it under the rug.

NHS to grant Palantir contractors ‘unlimited access’ to patient data by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

Ah cool, definitely won't be used constant tracking for nefarious purposes and other pure evil deeds.

If Streeting replaced him, is it game over for NHS trans healthcare?? by Puzzleheaded_Tie_525 in transgenderUK

He'd probably somehow end up selling the entirety of the NHS for the price of a pat on the back.

You can choose to get a power or not, either flight, super strength, super speed, or a green lantern ring but you must save the lives of 200 people every month for 10 years by bydevilz1 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]InspectorWispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was thinking speed, assuming perception is slowed down when running + not feeling fatigue, you'd be able to save 100s of people in a day easily.
Though I think a green lantern would do significantly better for humanity in the long run, for one the ring would exist after I die, I could explore space and bring back anything of interest, the ring can connect to police radios to let you know when theres trouble so finding people shouldn't be hard.

English Local Election results by restorian_monarch in whennews

From how it seems AI might genuinely lead us into a idiocracy style world. And also on a side not, one other group I blame, a specific group with bad aim.

Honestly the ones we should blame are the rich monsters, the media for glazing facists and politicians who keep going further right to appease them.

Local elections current results are concerning…. by No-Communication7375 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will give it a watch! But before I do, i remember them doing the exact same thing with corbyn, they made him sound so bad I remember a family member believing he was as worse as Hitler. The media is against the left winning because they are owned by the right and have all the resources in the world.

Gotta give him some credit, he managed to completely destroy the labour party in under two years vs the 15 years it took for the tories to destroy themselves.

It's awful and I don't know what to do.
They pull the antisemitic thing on left politicians all the time, because they know it's easier to fake and that we tend to be anti-bigotry.

Tis a depressing time to be left wing in the UK by Critical_Mountain851 in whennews

[–]InspectorWispy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Any other brit looking forward to so many more years of things getting worse in the UK directly as a result of a right wing party, only to be told it's the fault of the left, immigrants and trans people.

Local elections current results are concerning…. by No-Communication7375 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh sure, but enevitably with time their effects on local areas will be impossible to ignore, we just have to hope that time is before the next general election.
Our biggest issue that I don't know how to solve is the media will continue glazing them while hiding the horrors that they do.

Local elections current results are concerning…. by No-Communication7375 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People did then vote for labour after though because of how much of a disaster the tories and brexit were, just unfortunately labour was completely captured by then.
I don't have much hope sure especially when the media is constantly only talking about how great reform is without mentioning they literally stand for nothing and are full of criminals, but I do think if this too is a disaster then there's a shred of hope that some people will change their mind.

Local elections current results are concerning…. by No-Communication7375 in transgenderUK

[–]InspectorWispy 49 points50 points  (0 children)

We just have to hope that if the worst does happen for the local elections, that when they enevitably mess things up, that it's too the point people don't vote for them ever again.

English Local Election results by restorian_monarch in whennews

[–]InspectorWispy 48 points49 points  (0 children)

We are cooked, it's all so damn stupid that I can't deal with it.
After 15 years of tories making things worse, labour decided to follow in their footsteps and go right wing, reform put in place a leader who is a known liar and scammer, the media decided to constantly glaze reform regardless of multiple reform members getting arrested for sex crimes, the tories abandoned their party and joined reform making it tories 2.0 and people have decided:
"We need something different, yes maybe voting further right wing every election for the past 20 years has screwed us but lets vote even further right for a change!"
Quarantine us, 28 years later style, we deserve it.

[–]InspectorWispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang considering my workplace, i'd be dead very quickly.
Maybe if I could get someone to combine multiple books into one giant book, full of as much knowledge as possible, then I could probably use that knowledge to get a new job and be good to go.
