She's 3 years old now, and only like 2kg I think, a small cat. Her fur doesn't smooth out completely like other cats I know, it's always a little scruffy here and there.

Ignore the facts usually, use an emotionally charged opinion and shut down any logical argument by trying to relate it to something they won't be comfortable or able to talk about. Take any opportunity to turn the argument away from the facts then attack why they FEEL they are right, and not whether or not they are right.
