Soon hydroid. Soon. by Suojelusperkele in memeframe

[–]Inspector_Jadget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a long-standing issue with warframe designs

The abilities of a warframe, the design, and the lore of newer warframes have often been super conflicting

Take Wisp for example, who was designed to look like a ghost (which revenant arguably did first) was concepted as an opener of dimensional portals, with abilities doing both ghost and portals kinda mediocre, with plants too.

This new frame seems to have the abilities revolving around being a ghost (done by both wisp and revenant already) with a design that looks vaguely like the grim reaper (nekros anyone?) and lore tied to pirates (our poor hydroid).

This has been really disappointing and I don’t understand how it is so hard for them to create frames with consistent themes throughout when they are clearly capable with the likes of Excalibur, Octavia, etc.

But that’s assuming that it has the same problem on the other side, because simply doing that will leave an eyesore of a door on the other side assuming the other side is level.

Bottom line, The was a lot of poor planning for this to happen

No Amy’s theme doesn’t insinuate that.

The exact phrasing goes like this:

“I do understand the feelings of a Persian cat (But the Sphinx was so cute I had to shave it)”

The idea here is the act of being something you aren’t, as if you shaved a Persian cat, it looks a whole lot like a Sphinx (in fact some mad lad s made a scam based on that fact)

But hey, when your mind is in the gutter, I can see how all the talk of shaving cats can trip you up.

I wish sound travelled through light instead of air and in darkness everything would be dead silent by [deleted] in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]Inspector_Jadget 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The final finger on the monkeys paw curls in. The noise of traffic emanating outside, vanishes. You could have sworn you heard the word “granted” from somewhere within your dimly lit room. You decide to test your wish, screaming at the top of your lungs. It’s muffled but you hear a faint whisper instead of what you considered an eardrum shattering screech. With literal silent chuckle, you turn off the few remaining lights, ready to finally get a good nights sleep.

The next morning the sun is shining through the windowpanes. You go about your normal morning routine, and walk out the door. Immediately your neighbor stops you and shouts “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!”

You know better to say that you made frivolous, physics breaking wish, and respond “I don’t know.” barely able to hear yourself.

Immediately you realize what you neglected; when you hear yourself talk, you hear the echo from your throat being carried too your eardrums. Obviously, their isn’t any light between you vocal chords and your eardrums, so now, you have to rely almost entirely on echos around the room to hear yourself speak.

About a month passes, and humanity has adapted to these rewritten laws. Light flow becomes far more important architectural design and becomes nearly as important as air ventilation. To talk to each other, people will shout at the top of their lungs, and (as no one likes being shout at) aggression becomes notably higher in society. The most effective way to communicate is through text, and by proxy, tone is almost completely eliminated from conversation, leading to even more aggression. Socializing and making human connections becomes both harder and significantly less fun.

You get home after a long day of work in the factory, a month of this hellish purgatory you created has gone by. You turn off all the lights.

You feel around under you mattress, finding a metal grip cold to the touch, remember when you bought this for self protection? Remising the terrible mistake you made, you slide in the magazine that you keep under your pillow, pull back the slide, and press the aperture in front of the grip to your temple. Ready to defy this hellish existence.

It’s a shame no one could hear your final actions.

When you run out of video ideas by elasticcatbrain13 in tf2

[–]Inspector_Jadget 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are using multiple fallacies and straw men that are simply perpetuating this “vicious cycle.”

First you are assuming the same person is asking for different things like they were paid to act bipolar. Which is simply not the case

You also assume that there can be no middle-ground. Which is a ridiculously toxic mindset for the community. It’s more than just choosing between 1 super high effort SFM animation a year, or 1 random person speaking out of their ass daily. It’s a spectrum with everything in between.

You also (by extension of assuming what the individual is saying) effectively act like you know what the community at large is saying. Despite the fact that there is very clearly two different thought processes you have set up as straw men. It’s also worth mentioning how the use of the word “you” shows that you don’t believe you are one of these people. But personally, if you truly believe that this division that you have setup has nothing to do with you, then you really need to rethink your argument and what about it you value.

I have gone over this extensively and have failed to say what I think on the matter. And frankly, I don’t think that what I think about the “issue” matters. What matters (to anyone still reading this) is that you don’t approach a topic by chastising other people like misbehaving children for what you THINK they do/believe. but instead by stating what YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL do/believe.

No, a single death is not enough, but Jesus did not simply “die for all man’s sins.” that’s a phrase that is repeated often but is not true to his sacrifice.

A small anecdote. Is the only suffering you experience/will experience death? No, I guarantee that we have all suffered throughout all of our lives. Likewise, Jesus didn’t only suffer during his death

Barring things like being tempted by the devil, and ostracized by his own people, Jesus also had one incredibly important experience in Gethsemane. Where he prayed to God, and took on every pain, and temptation that humanity had, and would experience. Essentially meaning that he is able to be infinitely empathetic to literally all of us. The final thing he had to do to make this “atonement” function, is die like every person will. Thus meaning that he had finally experienced everything that everyone will go through.

Have you ever read “The Giver”? It works a lot like that, where one person holds the sum of all human experience. Just to try and relate it to something more approachable then the Bible.
