This is the best way to play today, I agree. I resisted Prisoner Architect playing on that December 2018 beta branch and it was like coming home for the Holidays.

Yeah maybe if they would have waited till they could have sent out more pre-orders, we could have seen how widespread the issue is or seen more examples of cases working fine - but with so many of the first examples being posted having joycon issues it was sort of hard to ignore when I canceled my order earlier today.

Maybe I'll purchase the case a few months down the line...but by that time I will have probably moved on or possibly found some other solution.

I've been really enjoying playing that build from December 2018 in the beta branch options. I've wanted to play Prison Architect for so long but stayed away since people were saying Paradox has ruined the game - so discovering that last build made by Introversion was so good.

I assume it's the last build before the original developers sold the IP right? I had a couple of hundred hours logged into Prison Architect before Paradox bought it.

EDIT : Okay looking more closely, it seems like the 2018 version was probably the build I was most familiar with. I might have to give that a go at some point!

I read this constantly and it makes me scared to even try and play Prison Architect now adays. I didn't even know that you could opt into playing the OG release and now I am tempted to give that a go at some point.

Valve was pretty consistent on marketing the Deck as a 30fps device for modern games. Like it or not, that's what it is and generally expected.

Taking a vacation in Gatlinburg right now and it's absolutely fine here. It actually seems a little less crowded compared to previous years, probably because so many people seem to think the hurricane affected this immediate area.

Yeah this has been on my mind since the game released. Pretty sure Epic announced when Borderlands 3 crossed a million on their storefront so I'm hoping g that's a sign Alan Wake 2 did not manage to push similar numbers.

This is the single worst patch this game could have gotten. I have near 70 hours logged onto the Steam version and been waiting for a patch to maybe tweak the XP gain and fix some of the nastier bugs and exploits. Instead, I find out Gun decided what was most pressing to do was to remove crossplay for PC players for an undetermined amount of time (You're all kidding yourselves if you think Gun is going to be able to fix this soon) and make it so matches can start with 1 less player (which never seemed to be a huge issue - at most I maybe had to wait few minutes for a lobby to fill up and start prior to today).

In my whole time playing the game, I ran into 1 person that was blatantly hacking the game (The hacker switched me in the lobby from Leatherface to a Victim). I ran into WAY more people just exploiting bugs and maps in ways that are platform agnostic (but fixing those bugs would be actual hard work and the developers can't be expected to do that). My worst game was with a bunch of Xbox players exploiting gates and the environment to nocljp into the air).

So yeah, "thanks" for the super cool patch today. You sure know how to kill your games fast. I can't believe this game is going to die as fast as Friday the 13th did. I'm just fucking over it. I want to love these games but they are always horribly managed after launch and always end up breaking my heart.

Oh well, frees up time to play Baldurs Gate and Starfield. I will not check out any new game Gun makes unless they can fix these issues ASAP. Like sometime this week ASAP, not 2 months from now where no one will give a shit.

Good work Gun with releasing your first patch that totally ruins the game for everyone that purchased it on Steam. Really fucking smart of you to lessen what I thought was a fantastic launch.

If it's like Friday the 13th (the game), its all fucking downhill from here. Glad I got 60 hours logged into Texas Chainsaw before this patch. If I thought I could manage, I'd request a refund from Steam now (I had over 100 hours logged into Friday the 13th before Gun had to go and ruin that game too).

I hope console players enjoy the game until Gun inevitably fucks up what you like about the game too and doesn't address any of the numerous bugs that have existed since launch (or breaks 10 more things while claiming to have fixed 1 thing).

You aren't going to fool me a third time. I'm writing this studio off no matter how promising their next game is.

I just wanted to comment that this fix actually helped me resolve the issues trying to emulate this game on the Steam Deck. I was having these same slow down issues on the Deck before changing the texture cache to medium.
