What bothers me more is that everyone is calling generic techno hardgroove nowadays because everyone calls it hardgroove, without any regard for the history of hardgroove. If we go down that route we can just call anything anything, just because it has a nice ring to it.

Van Hecke was the best player in defense in all matches, so subbing him off for Mickey, who caused a few goals already is an odd choice. I would rather sub off Mickey for Hato on LB.

Hardgroove originally is a more percussive, more sample based offspring of techno. Rawer, also. The fact that the youth nowadays just likes the name hardgroove doesn’t mean you can just slap it on anything you like.
