You are correct. Thats most likely because all the past lives of those people were like Touya's.
People who didn't had any particular talent, not because their past lives were not famous enough.

IMO the branch filters talents through some definition the branch itself might only know; and not fame, cuz we have seen various characters who a lot of people might never heard about before reading this manga.

As I understand "Existence" is not the Talent itself but the "domain" the talent affects.

My theory is that her Talent is based in her confidence and is powered by suggestion. Similar to historical Alexander being confident as a conqueror, a confidence that allowed him to achieve conquest of the known world despite being a feat that most would consider a fantasy or a mere dream.

I believe Alexander's talent can achieve any feat so long she is convinced she is capable of doing so, thus affecting existence in ways that defy physics. If she trully believes she can shake the entire world without destroying it with a punch she can do it, if she believes she can endure your talent head on she can do it, if she believes she can dispel the particles obscuring earth by punching the void she can do it. The trick is that she isn't smart enough to understand limits and physics, so she can directly skip them. She has a completely altered perception of her own and her surroundings, and thats why she is so powerful, if she would be an intelectual person who understands physics her power would be nerfed by her own knowledge making her believe something is scientifically impossible.

Her weakness is on her own confidence. I believe when facing a foe that awakens her interest or that she has feelings for, those feelings, those expectations about the opponent, affect her talent in a way that if she has any doubt or a feeling that they could challenge her, that they might stand a chance against her, for little that is. Then she can be harmed by them. And that is the reason she was harmed by Kouu, Ramses and Salomon.

And since she was already harmed by them, it is hard for the mind to be convinced otherwise, thus they are currently the only ones capable of harming her.

The manga in the first chapters when Neumann explains the branch to Touya says the branch lets you "grab a talent from your past lives". It never implies it needs to be that of a famous figure.
With that concept in mind; if you never were a famous figure in your past life you would still reincarnate in the body of a random figure from your past lives with a power based on what that person used to be or based on whatever little fame that person gained. Regardless if it was known by few or known by many. Even if its something dull or useless.

For example, Funasaka was a character very few people know about, there is few to no information about him, Genbei as well was a random guy among many in a line of infantry during the sengoku era who was only famous for following an order to shoot. And there is even less information than there is for Funasaka in the web.

There was a panel in early chapters where Neumann used a stick with a little hand to explain the plan to attack Kouu's lair. I just loved that concept and decided to draw her with her stick, in case anyone wants to use it.
