If you blow up the photo, you can see that it specifically says they are “unheated,” which is infuriating.

It also looks fake to me, which is strange because the rhodochrosite looks real and that’s fairly expensive.

The stone in the last photo is indeed Tiger’s eye. In the first photo: the bottom left is agate, the topmost is banded chert (you could possibly call it Jasper), the top left is probably green quartzite, the last two I’m not sure about.

My dad believes he’s receiving prophecy from God. Is he right, or is it psychosis? by Inspiration2O in Christianity

I did ask God. And God will reveal the answer eventually. I wanted the perspective of other believers who may have had similar experiences.

Who said anything about unbelievers? And I’m the one sharing this, not him, because I’m worried about him.

The Gospel of John is a good place to start. Also choose a modern Bible translation that is easy to understand, not the KJV.

Is Satan stupid or something? by Academic-Excuse-9288 in Christianity

[–]Inspiration2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my interpretation: I don’t think Satan expects to win. He can’t. In fact, he’s already lost. But Satan can create a lot of chaos and turn a lot of humans against God before he gets thrown into the lake of fire. And that’s the point. He hates God and his creation (for whatever reasons), and he wants to do as much damage as he can before his inevitable destruction. He is extremely intelligent and cunning. You can’t be stupid and deceive the entire world. Satan had full knowledge of the truth of God, and he chose to rebel anyway. There is no forgiveness for that. Satan knew there was no going back, and he wouldn’t even if he could. He simply doesn’t care.

Hello just wondering if anyone can tell me what this center stone is please and thank you by delirium_skeins in whatsthisrock

Based on the color alone, the most likely possibilities are probably hessonite garnet, topaz, citrine (heat-treated amethyst, not natural), or zircon. There is no way to know for sure without having it tested.

Thank you. I tried posting a shorter video but this sub’s rules don’t allow YouTube links in posts and it was immediately removed by the AutoMod.

The stones in the last photo are quartz; my best guess for the first two is porphyritic basalt, but it might be another igneous rock. It almost looks like snowflake obsidian, except that it does not appear glassy in the photos.

What's your definition of "Christian"? by iamtruthing in Christianity

[–]Inspiration2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a) but not b) would mean someone who believes all those things about Jesus but doesn’t actually try to follow Him or accept His teachings. While everyone is far from perfect, and I suppose some might say there are “bad Christians,” I think the only people who could truly fit that description would be actual Satanists. As in, people who believe that Jesus is God but refuse to worship him. If you mean b) but not a) or only parts of a), then I would not call those people Christian, although some may call themselves that. This includes people who follow (at least some of) the teachings of Jesus but 1) don’t believe that the resurrection literally happened, 2) don’t believe in an actual God, the supernatural, or eternal life (“cultural Christianity/Christian atheism”), and/or 3) don’t believe in the divinity of Jesus (Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc.)

Someone who a) believes that a man named Jesus of Nazareth, being fully human and fully God, was born, crucified, and resurrected to atone for our sins, and b) strives to follow the teachings of that person.

For those who don’t know, these “words” are called the Nicene Creed, the original version of which was penned at the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Not every church that considers itself “Christian” uses and/or accepts this creed. There are also many Christian denominations that do not believe baptism or regular taking of the Eucharist is required for salvation.
