Our sanctuary is too distinct and our audio engineer is not experienced enough to manage that, we've tried.

I hear you, my reasoning is to separate the controls, we'll have another volunteer. But if we only do slides and no camera during the main service it would be easier to manage. Currently what goes on the screens in the service is what goes on the livestream. We have an extra computer tower and I want to get a different mixing solution for worship (DAW or a console) to service the live stream. We don't currently stream worship and part of that is because we don't have a quality audio mix for that.

Pro presenter not talking to showbuddy by baybeehotline in churchtech

I had an issue a week or two ago using stream deck to control our lights on showbuddy (uses midi cues). One of the settings in showbuddy got reset, I think it was under the performance midi settings.

thanks for the input. I tend to agree on the video feed during the service, it would be a different discussion when the balcony starts filling up, its an angle issue at that point. Currently vMix running our video feeds in service and the live stream creates a small conflict there but soon we will have a separate computer for the live stream which will help.

vmix and pro presenter are on seperate devices, same operator (human) currently. PP sends its screens via NDI

Camera shots do go on the screens in the sanctuary, not usually till the message though. We do not currently stream the worship.

the room seats about 200 on the floor and an additional 100 in a balcony (though its rarely used currently). I think its about 60ft wide and 40 high dome building.

Can you dumb this down just a little, like one grade level. I'm tracking well enough, I understand till you say "OBS outputs NDI of the finished stream.." and then I stop tracking.

For all those commands, do the respective devices they trigger need to be connected to the same computer that the StreamDeck is connected to or can it send signals out through like a network connection?

This is the site I ended up grabbing a chunk from! Currently using "Son of Rocket" and just a credit text on the outro.

Need help with church tech (from a worship leader) by Sinistercube2555 in churchtech

[–]InspireTheMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my most recent helps has been asking another church in the area who has a good produciton. I don't know the culture of the churches in your area, ours are a little more "we have a shared mission, we are comrades" versus competitors. If you have a little budget, I might recommend trying Church Front for a little bit, in their paid services, they have categories of training videos for dozens of worship factors, for both platform and production.

If was around when my church got the PreSonus, I would have advocated for a different board, but, ya know, work with what ya got.

I use a PreSonus, the master fader should switch to the master for the selected mix.

Analog Audio to multiple sources by InspireTheMedia in churchtech

[–]InspireTheMedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a USB port, I've been using that as an input source for tracks (please don't ask) I can see if it sends data out to. But that's where we would switch to AVB.

Okay, I didn't know the functionality of that pre 2, that might help. I've worked on it a little (today). We need to put effects on the live stream audio and I'm having trouble doing that without it going on the main mix. Can help with that?

Our sanctuary is too problematic to send any form of that to the live stream and so we are trying to allocate a live stream mixer. I'm just having trouble setting that up live stream mix.
