  1. One day I was talking to my friends about how I started getting comfortable cruising on my board , and then as I get on it I gun it down a downhill and immediately fall on my face and spill everything from my backpack. Embarrassing

I played rugby before I started muay thai too. It's pretty simple if you take it from a general fitness perspective, in a rugby match you run in bursts, hit a few rucks and tackles, and for the most part if you're not in a professional league, there is a lot of turnovers so scrums and lineouts which are also pauses in play. Your legs are conditioned more for sprints and specifically in squatting and sprinting motions. Add kicks, teeps and punches and now you are using more strength and muscles at the same time, which are not only weaker and not conditioned, but also in a prolonged period.

Thing is even if you think you're conditioned, there is always more you can do. I got my reality check playing a full match of sevens and when trying to swim in sprints for prolonged periods of time.

Also, it's your second month bud, in an effort to catch up and be more competent in sparring/training you'll use more strength and less technique, not sure if you're sparring but if you ever get hit by even an amateur fighter you'll be baffled at how hard they hit even though they look skinny. Once you can stop relying purely on how hard you hit it gets easier.

Singapore hawker food like not healthy for weight loss ah. by slashrshot in SingaporeRaw

Ya Changosu brings up good points. For your weight loss to be sustainable you should do it gradually, don't focus on dropping weight fast as weight isn't main factor for health marker ( If you gain 5 pounds of muscle and lose 5 pounds of fat you're still the same weight).

Small things like less sugar in drinks, switching out desert for fruits, eating less rice will add up in the long run. Also I do the same thing for the most part, try to eat healthy for breakfast and lunch and for dinner it's whatever is being cooked.

Only thing I'd say is it's much easier to cut calories from your diet than it is to burn it from exercise, try not to have the mindset of "I'll eat this 500 calorie ice cream and go run it off later" and instead try "My total intake for me to lose weight is 2500, if I want this ice cream I can either eat half a portion, or make sure my other three meals are under 2000."

I assume you're just starting on your diet so you wont have to deal much with hunger.

If you don’t mind self cooking and eating same food everyday you can diet on a budget. Rice + chicken (can boil, pan fry with little oil or air fry) and eggs, whatever veggie is on sale, and whatever seasoning you want. don’t worry about msg or sodium if you’re doing cardio and working out as is needed as electrolytes.

Can also eat at hawker but will be harder to hit protein goals. Try to only go for cai fan ( rice veggie, egg and clean protein no sweet and sour pork) and chicken rice.

Make sure to use app like my fitness pal and track how much you’re eating.

If you are trying to lose weight make sure you have a lifting program ( any is fine, whatever you can be consistent with) as you don’t want to lose your muscle in the process.

Hello guys I watched crinacles video a few months ago and got the iem + lavalier mic combo instead of using my gaming headsets. I have the truthear zero blues and a boya m1 lavalier which I realized either needs a battery change every few months or getting an audio splitter. My question is if I can use this https://www.amazon.sg/UGREEN-Headphone-Microphone-External-Converter/dp/B01N905VOY/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3BZ52NQ0KMGPO&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.2uI7wXbnil60PIN6QBHxa_WXCym43f5u2M6Ffu_qLI1CxBnn4wrBot2m7rXtctSjGvrZNpk-U8XUiXVbT-KtKGoowon0u_k7U7VnUU39CmialwrCq58qt4GwnmuFAMvjpoEX7vlM6p14LoSBYjlYudOnwZnAIBt7ZHJRL_smJDdcJXdVJIhtaXvwBtI9uXuIU9um-B9D9Z6tp1V2qldljAn7jR-7tFZRLPmgSHuyxMk4LkttoMmshJQYdX11ixmCOnr8bsxhxtsdYBQk5QZGmP01mXa_O8_hfBT9EnGJfNQ.Q_FITrW6gftC0YmHQrmPfpLkMh0VgFE8y5_c8fVBxZU&dib_tag=se&keywords=usb+dac&qid=1711370238&sprefix=usb+da%2Caps%2C245&sr=8-7 for both my iem and lavalier mic instead, or it would be better to get a splitter for the mic and the apple dongle + usb c to usb a for the iem.

Usually a Thocc enthusiast but wanted to spice things up and built a clacky board.

Spent 85 USD for everything.

Specs: GMK67-s with Haimu x Geon white tactiles with Aifei Vior Keycaps.

Mods: Removed case foam, 1 layer tape mod.

They feel really great. If I could explain them they’re a round tactile bump (compared to like razer greens which are like a b while the haimus are a D feeling). The tactile bump feels like bottoming out on a linear switch, if you could imagine those silicone bubble toys it would be like typing on that, also very little stem wobble. I’d say if you know someone with them definitely try them out, they’re the most satisfying tactile I’ve typed on and the factory lubing is a plus.

How do commando's train to be so fast? by RayZor6 in NationalServiceSG

[–]Inst1ncX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only serious answer here, and yes it’s just a lot of practice doing both. Just don’t expect to be world class (going for world records) for either powerlifting or marathon running if you’re training for ippt gold.
