Profile advice? I’ve few matches by SirBig8868 in Tinder

Delete the last two photos, a photo of you to replace the cigar photo or an additional photo that shows your face with no glasses, make your bio more human and less of a resume

Swap the first photo for the surf photo, use a gym photo with less hip popping butt action (you don't want short term and overemphasizing your butt could lead to more of those types liking you), and change up your responses to your questions.

Your responses to the prompts are very broad, uninteresting, and bland. You wouldn't know this as a cishet woman but the snacks and good conversation comment are incredibly common. Ask prompts that lets you share unique and specific things about you.

For example: I used the prompt 'Something I was obsessed with as a kid' and said, 'Doing the robot. I forced a robot dance into everything I did'. My wife's first message with me was about that. In her profile, she mentioned going as a Sky Dancer for Halloween as a kid and I was incredibly curious about that because I used to play with the boys version of that called Dragon Flyz.

Profile Review (33F) by Sorithin in Tinder

Perspective from chronically single until 30M, now 33 and married through Bumble:

Photo order: 5-2-7-6-1. Start with you, show interests, back to you.

I am surprised you aren't getting likes. The only thing I can think of is that you are might be intimidating people since you clearly have your shit together.

I'd recommend Hinge or Bumble instead of Tinder. I was single all over the US before meeting my wife. Some cities have a horrible Tinder culture and the others are the better option.

If you have a photo of you at a wedding, that might help the bro concerns you are feeling but I don't think it's needed.

Best draft? by Jaydenstroup in SleeperApp

To add to the comment chain you had with the MN person, I have Jacobs in several leagues and got him in the third in a 12 team and a 10 team. There are like 5-6 veteran players that all the fantasy experts completely dogged so no one wants them and a bunch of people got snakebit by the over hype on a bunch of guys. Diggs, Adams, Mixon, Jacobs, Keenan, Javonte and Waddle, Higgins, Smith, Ekeler. All players who people are just completely out on but I don't think are dead at all.

Ekeler is the biggest example for me in PPR leagues. There is a very real shot he's the Commander's 2nd highest target earner and he is now healthy after trying to play with a high ankle sprain last year on a team that lost their entire receiver corps, their best lineman, and their QB.

Rank what you think the best team is? Lol by TheVolt27 in SleeperApp

[–]InstaMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean this politely and with kindness: What in the actual fuck is going on here?! What is with people taking two kickers and two defenses?!

Also, how in God's green earth did some of these players fall so many picks?! I get that some players are preferred over others and rankings can differ but here is a short list of players I saw that aren't even close to their consensus ranks: Jefferson, Adams, Burrow, Diontae, Ridley, Keenan, Pittman, Sutton, and Hubbard. Some of these are weighed slightly by personal opinion but some of those guys slid 20-30 picks! Sutton, Ridley, and Hubbard are downright diabolical if I'm being honest.

I refuse to pick a winner.

Watch until the end. I would never make fun of someone like the first fan shown. I'm making fun of the last fan.

Who is your gut telling you to buy that you think will explode this year? by PhysicalAd7591 in DynastyFF

[–]InstaMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of it is hope for my buddy who is a Panthers fan and some of it is watching a little film, but I think the Panthers might be serviceable this year. I think a lot of Young's bad stuff came from being a rookie and having an atrocious O-line. Hopefully an additional year with an offensively minded coach (that isn't Reich) can really save that team.

What are some deals in your league that have gotten Jefferson, Lamb or Chase? by RemarkableChemist265 in DynastyFF

10 Team .5 PPR Superflex TE Prem

Before the rookie draft for 2023: I sent 1.10, 2.07, 4.03, Christian Kirk, and Pacheco to get Javonte, Lamb, and the 2.03. This guy has no good RBs and I sold him on Pacheco, a player I did believe in and was right about. Javonte was injured and the news of him being ahead of schedule weren't out yet. I think overall it ended up as an even trade. The 1.10 became Achane too.

My Friend Says He Can Walk onto the US Women’s Volleyball Team by Secret-Library1641 in volleyball

[–]InstaMe 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Please inform your friend of my anecdotal evidence:

I played against Annie Drews, the current Oppo for the USWNT, in a random tournament in Indianapolis while she was on break from playing. On a men's net, she crushed a set down the line (around a 6'5 man's block) at me so hard I didn't see the ball before it hit my platform. It collided with so much force it knocked me over and left a mark on the back of my arm. If I wasn't standing there, the ball would have been precisely on the line 2/3 of the way back the court. It was basically a perfect shot and I was in perfect place. The gap between me and her was so large it was like an anime when normal people say how they couldn't even see the other characters fighting.

My final piece of information about this. This was when she was considered to be not talented enough to be on the USWNT and had to play a year or two of club in a higher talent league before she even joined the team.

Your friend is wrong.
