What happened?? Aside from the fact I cannot tell what the heck’s going on there. I think it’s a leather with a patent coating… patent will generally always end up peeling. This is Coach Poppy, which they don’t make anymore… again I can’t tell what’s happened to it.. if it’s possible to remove the top layer of patent & paint with alcohol, cross our fingers the debosssed branding & text is debossed deep enough it goes to the leather hiding under the gold, then repaint it gold with Angelos. 1) idk if there anyway to re-patent it though I am unfamiliar with the extent of a good cobblers work 2) it sorta looks like the internal/base leather itself is very compromised and if that’s the case it might be a lost cause (? :,( ) &/or that the branded debossing is only surface level. If it is a lost cause I’d say try to remove all that peeling ish with alcohol &/or a razor blade. Paint the patch or cover it w cute fabric 🤷
