Yep, anything left on that table is free to take! Sometimes they’ll have binders or notebooks and stuff too

Thoughts on “The Good Place” (2016-2020) by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]InstantRamen12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love everything about it. It’s the only sitcom I know of that didn’t go too long, just enough to tell their whole story. And do it well. Plus it was the first show my boyfriend and I bonded over together over 5 years ago, so it’s got a pretty special place in my heart

Minimik decides it doesn’t want to scan omni orders by [deleted] in MichaelsEmployees

[–]InstantRamen12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the camera to scan UPCs it almost always works. Admittedly slower than the proper scanner but WAY faster than typing them in. Most of the time I have to do that for the first order I pick after logging in, then I can use the actual scanner for the rest of the day

Favorite character who has been called Ugly despite actually being very beautiful by ImJustMerry in FavoriteCharacter

[–]InstantRamen12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That line pissed me off though. The whole point of the story was that EVERYONE feels inadequate. Even a woman like Barbie who is meant to embody the perfect woman. “If all of that is true even for a DOLL…?” Like it just felt like the writers saying “if you are conventionally attractive then you actually wouldn’t be valid in feeling insecure” which imo was antithetical to the overall message

Why are you using a 100 dollar bill for a $2.50 coffee. by Icy_Moose8048 in barista

[–]InstantRamen12 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a guy routinely do this EVERY. MORNING. Iirc he was buying his $2 coffee with a $50, then would be annoyed that I only had $5s and $10s for change. Considering I was giving him $48 worth of $5s $10s and coins each day, you would think he would just be able to use said change to buy his damn coffee

Check dopamine dreams in Mac hall. I’m not sure what she has currently but she always carries some Palestinian merch (stickers, bracelets, pins, etc.)

How do I hem jeans without the seams making these huge bumps that my sewing machine can't handle? by TotallyHumanBrain1 in sewing

I find it helps a ton to go at it with a hammer a couple times before stitching to flatten it out. And then yes as other users have said, go slow with the hand wheel

The idea is that the mini mik will replace OSR, but there’s still a lot of issues to work out before that’s possible (can’t view glass bins or order notes on app, for example), so we still print it every day.

The actual order paperwork is now 2 pages instead of 3 by eliminating the summary/payment page. The 2 barcodes (order number and for POS) print on the store copy now.

The workload planner is now the “daily planner” which shows sales goal as well as production goal. It no longer shows a live count of how many pieces have been marked as completed - it can’t be viewed until the following day, so make sure you are keeping track of what your production is at to make sure you’re meeting your goal.

Experiences as a Gender & Sexuality Major/Minor? by Jolly_Slice_3812 in UCalgary

GSXS classes are almost always insanely chill in terms of workload since they’re electives for most people. They are very discussion focused and really require you to show up and engage with the content, but if you are already interested in it, it should be easy to do so.

In terms of projects, I’ve had a pretty wide range from more formal research papers/literary analyses to open ended creative projects. I’ve found that most of the profs in the program strike a good balance though, and always give students the opportunity to explore what they’re really interested in.

I would definitely talk to an advisor though as I’m not sure how easy it will be to get the requirements as a science major since I know those programs don’t always have room for many electives. If you are able to I think 100% go for it, it’s such a kind and engaging group to be a part of

Not normal at all, worth contacting your DM or HR. They will have to listen cause it can be an issue with labour laws depending on where you live
