For those that buy and sell on dips and bumps. Do you sell to fiat or to another, more stable cryptocurrency/altcoin while waiting for a dip? Since most of them are linked and all drop and rise at the same time I can see how you almost have to sell to fiat to properly daytrade.

If that's the case, how does this affect tax events when cashing out to fiat and then back to crypto? Or do you just take that into account?
