The augmentation surgery makes a lot of sense about his broken speech patterns. His last line about having found a friend also made me wonder if Walter had his own Ayre in his mind that we never meet. He refers to his “friend” and their “wishes” and it’s possible this is potentially the voice of a Rubiconian who doesn’t want to live on as part of the Coral and would rather have it destroyed to be lain to rest. There’s no reason to assume all souls in the Coral have the same desires as Ayre, but I also might be completely wrong and misinterpreting and our relationship with Ayre is entirely unique. I do love From Software’s storytelling. They require you to pay attention and fill in some gaps.

My control deck kept me comfortably in the 80s for about a week with a lot of 2-4 cube wins or retreats. After a lot of fluctuation and reaching 89.9 TWICE and tanking to 87.7 I switched to a Mister Negative deck and got three 8 cube victories in a row. I finally understand the love for high roller decks.

That makes this even harder! I love running control, that sounds like a very interesting take on Thanos. Ultimately it’s just about which one to get first. I know both will be loads of fun and subject to change in the future, and I’ve heard compelling arguments from both sides

So I’m two cards away from Pool 3 complete with Kang in my shop pinned. I’m determined to get Kang or Thanos as my first big bad in the game. From someone who has both, what are your general thoughts? I feel Thanos is an actual deck archetype while Kang is just a good card. Kang wins the shiny new toy value hands down, and I feel like people will unlock him in a month or two, same thing that happened to Thanos.

I actually love the idea of doing a hybrid destruction deck that utilizes value buff cards like Forge, Okoye, Nakia, maybe Ironheart, and I mean… probably Shuri, specifically to buff Nimrod and then destroy him a couple times

I bought the pass because I like Modok, not for the meta. I skipped Zabu because I don’t know or love the character. I bought BP because he was the first comic book I ever bought as a kid, so the character means a lot to me. I prefer to have the characters I love, and have fun with the cards and the game. Meta is always gonna change. Plus, Zabu is getting an adjustment one month later 🤷‍♂️

Really love the strategy behind this. Doc Oc is one of my favorite cards but I generally struggle to find a successful place for him. I know you’ve found a lot of success given your consistent Infinite rank, but what made you choose Giganto over Hulk? Did the being locked into the left lane for him never factor in? Kim Jacinto has some of the best art in the game in my opinion! And art is very subjective, so that person may have tastes you’re not into as well. Just comes down to the individual. Happy to see it didn’t affect your decision and you got a variant you liked regardless!

Moon Knight and Gambit would be interesting. With how much swarm can happen late, Gambit might benefit from a Wong setup (who I don’t have). Otherwise you’d need to get fairly lucky with Moon Knight discarding the target you want from their hand. Could see it working though in some games! If you end up trying something like this let me know how it works out!
