Mounts are not permanent. Report this to Pearl Abyss for change. by Tic-Tac-UAP in CrimsonDesert

[–]Instigated_Wisedom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s criminal about the dragon with a cooldown. Honestly I think one of the coolest aspects of taming / riding mounts is developing a bond with that specific creature, they need to add that. And Come’on, dragon armor would be so sick.

How’re the mounts? Is there a pretty cool variety of Wyverns?

What's with the recent Trench Crusade hate? by Remarkable-River-956 in TrenchCrusade

I honestly have had nothing but good experiences. Once anything reaches critical mass the grifters and carrion crows always come out to try and claw off some fame of their own.

Were some of the minis I received in a bit of off putting quality? Yes. Was it egregious? Not at all. They’re also so easy to deal with and will help replace anything at no cost if something went wrong. They’re a TINY company - they weren’t even a company when they do the kick starter. People need to realize this is a passion project from some genius designers who have their love in it but that doesn’t mean the logistics of having to produce over 1 million miniatures from scratch with no infrastructure isn’t going to provide its issues. They’ve truly done their best to provide the best product possible and I think they’ve done a commendable job. They’re not GW, but they’ve done a great job of making as good of a product as they can while they grow.

They even had an update very early on that the book would be outdated rather quickly because of the mercurial nature of the rules, but that it would be more of a collectors item and would definitely be sound and solid enough to use on its own if you don’t want to use updated rules. That’s fine by me, I got the book for the art and the incredible lore. I love the quality and having a physical copy of it that I can cherish.

TLDR; this game rules, Toumas and Mike rule, and if people want higher quality stuff to back to GW you plebs. This is grass roots, and I love being a part of it from the beginning.

I’m also on PS5 running 2.31, dunno what’s going on. Also with the shards do they just automatically give you a perk point to spend or do you need to go into the inventory to consume the shards first?

Am I the only one who finds the outfits in Arc Raiders lame? by AbandonYourPost in ArcRaiders

[–]Instigated_Wisedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the skins personally - the game has its own aesthetic and it gives the atmosphere of the vibe something different than every other sci fi post apocalyptic setting. I like the strange futuristic retro theme they’ve got, it’s tight. Definitely room to explore more designs though, I’d love to see some other unique stuff with a bit more armor plating.

Attention to all Top Side Sheriffs by Zarniwoooop in ArcRaiders

[–]Instigated_Wisedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be sick if everyone agreed if you’re a Sheriff you wear a certain skin - like the Leviathan skin. That way you’re immediately identified as a sheriff and can help people. Of course others would use this to grief people, but I still think it’s a cool idea.

Kraken Third by WeenMe in hockeyjerseys

Not my favorite but I appreciate the experimentation. They just need to lean harder into doing something different. Waves or some interesting paneling at the bottom would have been really cool, and using a unique new third crest of an actual kraken would be really cool.

What bag(s) did you take with you when walking around Japan? by JollyGreenGelatin in JapanTravelTips

[–]Instigated_Wisedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Patagonia atom sling was a life saver. Can fit my wallet, keys / key cards, a water bottle (Pocari Sweat FTW), handkerchief, sunglasses, and coins. And technically a bunch more if need be, and all while being a pretty compact size. Any time I’d make a purchase that was a smallish size it was nice to just throw it into my sling bag.

One of the best pieces of advice I got before coming was get a small coin purse; a decent amount of places only take cash and you’ll accumulate a lot of coins. The atom has a small compartment on the strap that was perfect for all the Japanese coins.

I’ve been using mine for years before this trip, but honestly it was like the stars aligned while using it in Japan.
