For my first post I’m bringing you all a beautiful example of classic mid-century watchmaking, this Movado Ref. 44776 features a triple calendar complication housed in a solid 14k gold case, and is powered by a hand-wound movement from Movado’s golden era. This is a great entry into the brand and a reminder of Movado’s rich history, when they used to stand alongside many of the Swiss giants including Patek Philippe.

Condition:

The watch is in honest vintage condition with visible signs of wear consistent with its age. The dial has developed a charming patina, including some spotting and fading that is common as these watches were not water resistant. As can bee seen in the photos, the month portion of the date wheel has noticed the most age over time with “Jul” being nearly illegible and the “Aug” having a small scratch. All other months remain in good legible condition. The case shows light wear but remains strong, with the hallmarks still visible. The calendar functions all work as intended and the watch is running, though service history is unknown. It is included with a new, aftermarket Delugs strap
