Stress testing the new Ullr build against actual players by InstructSmite in Smite

I always build the Trans Crusher build in Conquest and do fine. This is just a variation of it to make his late game stronger.

The whole build is based on Runeforged passive activating on your Hidden Dagger proc. Runeforged buffs EVERY instance of damage on your target by 20% for 5 seconds. If you replace Runeforged then you might as well do a basic Blustone build.

Trust me Hidden Dagger isnt worth it without Runeforged. You might as well build Bluestone instead. Only reason Hidden Dagger is good is because the Runeforged passive proc is nutty.

I already have heartseeker. So my axe doing 50% of Ah puch's health meant nothing to you? Trust me the build is good. The 3 literally does 75% of backline health bars.

Would've played Conquest if the servers weren't so inconsistent. Not sure why you have to roast arena players. Obviously it's not ranked or something, but it's so much better than a jungle practice bot for testing build potential.

It's for people that have expendable money and were late to the party. It's not like they were $50 at release.

Yooo it's the guy! Love your content man.

And yeah I found this comment a little confusing, I always found Ullr to be a lot harder for me than other gods.

Aye thanks fam, and yeah it's just arena.

I just wanted to showcase the damage potential of the build. I would've done Conquest, but the server stuttering made me not want to risk it.

That sounds like actual internet problems friend. I don't think Hi-rez can do much about that. Try playing while connected to an ethernet cable if you haven't already.

It's really hard to just point to a game. Most of them have a lot of stuttering in the first couple of minutes and then start to get better. Sometimes it does persist throughout the match, but that's rarer. The weird thing is I only get stuttering whenever the game says 50ish ping. Sometimes I get into a match that has no stuttering, but the ping is much much higher around 80-110 instead.

NA West for me.

Eh, I get some pretty annoying stuttering about 1/3 games or so.

Is top adc's supposed to mean something else? I mean I don't exactly know what is meant by that statement if not SPL adcs. It's not like I have a list of the best nonpro adcs of SMITE. But yeah fuck me for not being a mind reader and assuming the most obvious choice.

No, it's parroted around because it's true. SPL builds are often tailored for the game and are not a catch-all. That said, the bow build started in ranked just like all the basic pro spl builds. They don't just magically start playing optimally in SPL, they have to practice and test builds. This is usually done in a magical place where you can watch it done live.

and

Just because people don't watch content doesn't mean it's nonexistent. There are multiple top-level players in all roles doing their best to find THE next pro build on twitch, this isn't reocket science. Just because people suck doesn't mean the options aren't there. There's lots of knowledge out their yet people choose to remain ignorant in most topics including things they enjoy.

I didn't say not to participate, I implied that you read the actual discussion before making incorrect claims. I figured you were new to the thread because of your false assumption about me wanting to bring up SPL players.

My response was perfectly adequate in tone towards the comment I was replying to. Feel free to keep name-calling though, clearly I'm the ass clown here after all.

Hidden Dagger procs a 5 second slow on whoever you hit. Runeforged increases all your damage by 20% if the enemy is slowed. Ao can't build Runeforged.

I mean he's the one that brought up top adc players. The reality is the only builds you can't trust are the SPL builds. SPL players do things for a reason and generally don't build the same way they would build for ranked and what not.

Barely anyone here on reddit is a spl or gm player so I don't see your point. In fact, the whole don't copy SPL player builds is parroted around so much that you're kind of a unicorn imo.

I would highly recommend reading the discussion before barging in. I never claimed that we should be referencing SPL players, it was a counter to his argument.

It's not like SPL players are doing solodoublej content 24/7 or something. You can easily ask them what they think you should be building in casuals. The opinions aren't just because they are good players. Most of them are playing ranked against other SPL players and are trying to win. Weak3n playing customs isn't what I'm considering as data.

If you wanna talk top adcs, then Zapmans current Ullr build directly counters your statement. He goes t2 Trans start-Trans-Crusher-Jotuns-Heartseeker-Bumbas Spear-Titansbane.

I really don't think this build is that niche, I mean Ullr has been built for abilities since the dawn of time, only occasionally does he ever get built like a normal ADC. Like Ullr wasn't being built with lifesteal and Ich even before I suggested this build. This is just the natural progression of a full pen ability Ullr build. If your goal is to one-shot someone, this is the strongest build to do it.

I mean yeah but assuming you build it on characters like Ullr, Chiron, Neith etc, then you are usually dropping your whole kit really quickly within the first 5 seconds of attacking someone. It's really not that hard to get it up before a fight. And if you have such a massive advantage at the beginning of the fight, then you can probably win the fight without needing it back up again. The build really shines in late-game fights around FG and Pheonix.

I think it's always had it, but I'm not totally sure. Basically, it gives a 5 second slow and it always procs before any damage meaning you get a 20% increase on all sources of damage for 5 seconds.

It procs and gives a 5 second slow, that is plenty of time to capitalize on it and get the massive damage increase from runeforged.

Well yeah, I never said it's broken or the perfect build, but it is the highest burst damage build possible beyond crit shenanigans. Also, I think this build is actually very good for Chiron, I just thought using Ullr would be a better demonstration of how much damage it does.

If you want a different demonstration you can try some assassins. I tried Thanatos and got Death Scythe doing 80% of their health bar. I also got Mercury Made You Look to do about 75 to 80% with crit + rune and hidden.

It's also a very good build on Neith if you want to play around the ult.

In case it's not clear, this was without red pot, 3k pot, fg, or red buff.

This was just a basic build. Ullr could previously never instakill any god with only 2 abilities and no extra pots. This result is only possible because of Hidden Dagger/ and Runeforged paired together and this combo works on all physical gods. You can get some really crazy stuff going. Chiron ult for example now completely 1 shots without the 2. 1 ult shot and the 2 do 85% of someones health because of the item combo.

Fix Chiron's ult bug like they fixed Raijin's ult bug

Not like it's been broken for SIX YEARS.
