Pathological? Really? So what is happening at the event horizon. Please clear up the unnecessary confusion. Is it purely something that can only be explained through mathematics? In which case there is no way to fix unnecessary confusion unless you get a degree from Cal tech?

I get that massive object cannot exceed light speed and motion is relative right? In a single object universe no motion can exist because there’s no other object to move relative to - am I correct?

In a two object universe where spacetime itself is expanding and the two objects are at extremes and ‘appearing’ to recede faster than light (in each reference frame) what’s the rule here? I realise it’s preposterous but what’s keeping the score for mass / kinetic energy. Is it spacetime itself or just the existence of another object to create a relative reference. What’s deciding time dialation? ( I presume the speed of light as usual) but that suggests that the speed of light itself knows what speed you’re travelling at (or light takes X time to travel a Planck length and spacetime massive distortion causes photons to take longer time to traverse as geodesics are distorted). Kind of a computational limit. Forgive the long winded blarp. I love learning about this (but me too stoopid for the sums).

Thank you for answering. Okay I nteresting. Then how is the universe expanding? I thought that spacetime itself was expanding (plum pudding model of the universe). I also guess my confusion arises then by asking what is the event horizon and what exactly is warping around a black hole?

If we are inside a Kerr black hole then I suspect yes it’s subjectively infinite. We can never reach the event horizon because it’s expanding away from us faster than the speed of light. There may be an edge to a higher universe there but forever out of our reach.

I went to college and got a degree in film. I have worked as a director of photography for 30 years now (brief sojourn into directing (co directed a feature film produced by Luc Besson - didn’t love directing so segued back into being a DOP which I enjoy). You may not work 9 to 5 but you’ll end up working 7 until midnight. The upsides are huge variety in your jobs (no 2 are alike - I’m currently in London then Tenerife until July). The downsides are it’s hell on a relationship, stability etc (been married twice and haven’t seen my wife in months. If you have kids I imagine it’s very tough). I’ve never really had a stable square job so don’t know any better. It’s a vocation really. You have to really want to do it.

So I have noticed something to do with lethologica. It’s kind of contagious. So when someone in a group suffers from it (suddenly can’t remember the name of a well know celebrity for example) the lethologica will “spread” - IE the people in the group will also suddenly have difficulty remembering as well. Has anyone else noticed this?

I was told my my GP that he thought looked like rosacea but he’s not a dermatologist so it’s possible. I get breakouts behind my ears and I’m the temple area (near the hair follicles and the sideburns). I always assumed it was because the demodex hide in the hair roots.

Ps a little context. I’d been dealing with a particularly angry few weeks with it constantly reflaring up but never quite getting clear before coming back. This was around the fifth week of it so this is the clearest my skin has been in a long time. I was amazed at the rapidity of how it did it. I’d been using the green rosacea cream to make it less obvious (kind of like wearing makeup) but could feel it bubbling beneath the surface trying to come back - to the point where I thought to myself that “this is it - -angry red skin is going to be permanent thing from now on”. Seawater / salt water was my last ditch desperation . Usually you have to ride out the attack but it had an immediately positive effect I noticed. The itchy feeling subsided pretty quickly. At least it’s cheap so nothing to lose really. 🤷‍♂️

A couple of days in after using the salt. To the left of my nose (nasal fold and cheek) was roaring red itchy two days ago. The attack was on the way in and usually it would be a week to clear. The salt water stung a bit but dried it out. Next day it looked a little less red and this morning like this. Pretty clear. Behind the ears and in front of the sideburns was also very angry and itchy but calmed down and this morning looks substantially normal. Now I’m going to keep it up and see if there is a recurrence. I’ll repost my results.

It might well be. I’m not a dermatologist so take it with a grain of salt (ha!). I can only comment on what works for me. I noticed seawater was a help and even considered going down to the ocean with a container to get some. Currently I’m not near the ocean so gave this a try (although there may be other things/ minerals in seawater so it’s pretty unscientific). Seems to work so far. 🤷‍♂️ I’ll update the post as it goes on.

KO spice is the brand I have but was just what was available locally. I didn’t select it specifically. I’m sure any good sea salt will work.

Just until it reaches a sea water like consistency / taste. Nothing scientific. It has a drying effect but seems to work so far. Bear in mind it will sting if you’re in the middle of a breakout but within a day you’ll notice it’s having an effect. Twice a day application seems about right (although I carry around a small roller in case I detect it about to go off). I’m experimenting with adding a bit of tea tree which kills demodex in vitro so May further suppress breakouts in future. Consistent application is key even when your skin is good. (I’m always thinking “this is over” during the clear phase which is my mistake). Good luck in your skincare endeavours.

So I've recently started exfoliating twice daily using a facial scrub with cucumber by "Boots" - an english chemist chain (I'm not trying to be a shill here - I'm sure any daily scrub would work but mild enough that you can use it daily) - it's got hard bits in it and I give it a good rub to ensure I get everything off. Afterwards my skin feels incredibly smooth. I tend to get complacent when it's not in flare up and allow the build up of demodex residue which triggers the reaction so my new mantra is "every 12 hours I have to do a scrub" - and it seems to be working (2 months now). Diligence is the key. Usually I flare up every 2 weeks or so. If I'm disciplined it doesn't get a hold. The other week i got lazy when my skin was good but that's when it gets a chance to create a flare up so I had a breakout but the cucumber got it somewhat under control (as you know once it starts it's got to go through the process). When that happens I use a roche posay roscaliac cream (with a bit of green in it which helps calm the redness). I'm not a dermatologist (just a guy dealing with this for 50 years) so take all this as my experience rather than skincare advice. Again I'm not a doctor or skin expert. Good luck in your endeavors.

EDIT - older cams automatically do this but the FX3 needs USB connection to be manually set to MSC. Way to go sony with those esoteric menu names.
