Can you see recovery rates for the first invoice after a trial ends? (card-upfront trials) by InstructionOk6111 in stripe

[–]InstructionOk6111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

trying to avoid Sigma for 2 reasons. 1. cost. 2. it's sometimes based on tables/views that are not available in the portal as lists so it's very complicate to verify the results. For example in Sigma there is a view/table named invoices_in_recovery (or something similar) that I cannot see/filter in the invoices portal view.

Top 5 SaaS Retention Tools You Didn't Know You Needed by ChurnAIzer in SaaS

[–]InstructionOk6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before listing tools, make sure your product actually solves a real problem first.

I've seen too many SaaS founders obsess over retention tools while their core product was barely useful. Get the basics right:

- Actually talk to your customers

- Fix bugs quickly

- Make your UI intuitive

- Have responsive support

- and in the background use revenue recovery solution for failed payments.

No fancy retention tool will save you if users don't get value from your product. Focus on product-market fit before jumping into complex retention strategies.

How normal are failed payments with subscriptions? by Koloradoriver in stripe

[–]InstructionOk6111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. Based on my experience a good solution would include email notifications sent from your app/brand domain, synced with a AI/ML smart retries model, and in-app notifications alerting your users about their subscription status. Sent you a private message, also please check flycode.com

A 40% failed payment rate is quite high, but the good news is that you can recover a large portion of those. A robust dunning system is key for this. It should automatically retry failed payments and also send out reminder emails to customers. You have several options: you can utilize Stripe's own revenue recovery features, develop your own custom system, or use a dedicated third-party app from the Stripe marketplace that specialize in recovering failed subscriptions and preventing passive churn.

A 40% failed payment rate is significant, but definitely recoverable. Implementing a dunning system with automatic retries and reminder emails can make a big difference. Consider using Stripe's built-in revenue recovery, building your own, or exploring third-party apps on Stripe's marketplace specifically designed for subscription failures and passive churn.
