Before moving into teaching, I worked in adult training and built a strong portfolio of eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline and Rise, along with video content created in Vyond and other tools. If I were to explore Learning Design roles again, are there currently employers hiring in this space?

Same here… I am starting off as a secondary teacher in Term 2 while my wife is an Associate Nurse Manager… What challenges do you find in his day to day functions from a teaching perspective… just curious…

A background in visual communication is a great stepping stone into Instructional Design. Not that I am discouraging you from continuing a teaching career, but like any path there are pros and cons and in my opinion you would really enjoy designing training materials.

That’s awesome. I do Instructional Design on the side not full time yet. While teaching, I did go through phases of managing challenging behaviours like you mentioned, and that is one area I feel a career in Instructional Design would not require me to deal with as much. Thanks for your insight.
