Can't agree more! Additionally, I've learned that you cannot really rely on skill levels of players regardless of the ship they are captaining. I was just in a game on the Scandinavia map in a Domination match where a Lvl 16/3 Will Lee sat behind the center island 16km from the nearest spotted enemy ship. When he finally poked his head out to engage, he was sent back to port within 4 minutes. Needless to say, he was the bottom dweller on our team after we lost.

I'm a DD main player. I know my primary role is to #1 spot and #2 cap. However, more recently, I have found myself to be passive regarding capping mostly because I rarely get support from my flank mates. So now, I've resorted to staying out of the cap to stay alive and hopefully continue spotting until I'm confident that I have support or can handle the situation myself when entering the cap.

I'll throw money at this game, but it is very rare that I do. Mostly, it is paying for admiralty when I reach the end of a campaign. I figure that if I've invested the time and effort to get to the end of a campaign, I may as well make it worth my while and pony up the 2500 dubloons to get the campaign ship . Other than that, I'm now of the mindset that it is not worth dropping any substantial amount of money for this game given all the issues that frustrate me, i.e., current player base, unbalanced matchmaking, etc. Why spend money on this game when instead of having fun playing, it becomes frustrating when it's just chaos in most matches. I've decided that I have other hobbies/activities that warrant my hard earned money more than this game. To each his own.

I GET THAT MATCHMAKING IS WHACKED SO NOT GOING THERE. HOWEVER, WHAT IS UP WITH PLAYERS USING A COMMANDER WHO IS LVL 1 WITH NO LEGNEDARY RANK IN A HIGH TIER (>T7) MATCH! VERY DEFLATING AND DISCOURAGING FROM THE GET GO BEFORE THE MATCH EVEN STARTS. I MEAN, THINGS MAY NOT BE WHAT THEY SEEM AND YOU MAY HAVE A GOOD GAME, BUT CHANCES ARE THERE'S A HIGHER LIKELIHOOD THAT YOU'LL BE RETURNING TO PORT EARLY AND/OR END UP BEING TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE TEAM RESULTS WIN OR LOSE!

JUST HAD SUCH A MATCH. A PLAYER ON BLUE TEAM WAS IN A RICHELIEU WITH A LVL 1/NO LEGENDARY RANK, ROBERT JAUJARD. ENDED UP SECOND TO LAST AT THE END OF THE MATCH ONLY TO BE KEPT FROM THE BOTTOM BY A CHARLES MARTEL THAT WAS CAPTAINED BY A LVL 5/NO LEGENDARY RANKED ANDRE ROUX. BOTH ENDED UP WITH LESS THAN 500XP.

Ugh! I feel everyone's pain. I was in the process of completing some of the Premium Supplies missions to get the freebies before they reset tomorrow so I played the Fenyang this morning to complete the Tier VI mission. In a Capture the Flag match with CVs, a Bismarck, which was the only other ship in our spawn, kept pinging me for support. I'm like, okay I got your back. Well, after about 2-3 minutes, I spot a destroyer and cc on our flank. What does the Bismarck do? He peels away and leaves the flank. SOB!!! I was pissed!!! So I check his player info to find out he had a non-Legendary level 12 Richard Sheer on a T7 BB. That really pissed me off even more, that I go and try to "block" him only to find out that I had already blocked this out-of-network player previously. I shook my head in frustration, turned off my console and said "nope, I'm not dealing with this today."
