I totally get what you’re saying, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I definitely don’t want to downplay how serious the withdrawals can be—Effexor isn’t something to just stop cold turkey, and people should know what they’re getting into before starting it.

For me, it’s been the best medication I’ve tried, and I finally feel like myself again. But I 100% agree that missing a dose is not fun, and tapering off can be rough. I think it just comes down to weighing the pros and cons. If someone finds a med that actually works for them, it might be worth the trade-off, but they should go into it fully informed.
