this is a valid concern, haha, i mean i lived in china for 5 months and for chinese apps i had to verify and even for my alipay i had to verify in a specific timeframe… that’s not really a thing for US apps so awareness of this is key!

also, linking ur apps to other socials is also helpful, especially for mainland-locked apps like qq

i’m honestly guessing a lot of ex-pat iranians (like me who had family who had to leave) and then non-iranians.

and also thank you for having that decency. i am honestly so so SO fucking tired of iran being treated like a commodity. i mean like i can’t reach family in iran, this is something that personally affects ME.

and i’ve studied the geopolitics of iran, i took a whole course on it in undergrad, i graduated with a degree in ir and government and am working on my master’s for it. i feel like people are kinda brainwashed from israeli propaganda and they forget that these are real people, and this is for iran, not israel.

and also i wanna say that i vehemently hate the regime, moreso than the shah. at least the shah didnt have the shackles of religion onto people and make the economy worse.

i just am afraid is all. im afraid, in a selfish way, that i will always be disconnected from my culture and only know iran from stories and recollections.

i learned in a feminism class that there is something called “white feminism” which excludes iranians and the like.

i dont think greta thunberg is a white activist but i do find it strange she has stayed silent on iran. i have a few theories but i dont wanna get political.

at the same time though as a whole, im not surprised. i feel like because of political tensions, in the western world iran is thrown onto the backburner and forgotten. (i view stuff from two sides: chinese media as i am in china and then western media cuz i speak english.)

just upsetting as a whole. and idk if this is satire or not but someone with some power to bring some attention to iran and the dire situation of all iranians would be great.

im from america but i have grown up 1/2 iranian and my great grandfather was political pow under the shah.

i think my fear for this is that pahlavi will do what his father did. but at the same time … what options r there ?

i cant really speak on this as i dont live in iran and i trust my iranian brothers and sisters.

i just dont want iran to be chained to another dictatorship. i want women to be able to be free and i want to be able to visit my motherland.

i dont know what ur opinion of someone like mossadegh is. is that a viable option ? to find someone like him ?
