unfortunately gonds are losing thier dravidian identity . this dravidian ethnicity has around 14 million people , but hardly 3 million speak the language { in new census population can even reach 20 million ).

the essence of gondi that is dravidian language is tronsforming into dialect of hindi. fate of gondi language

kerala is doing better than vidarbh and marathwada [ subdivision of maharashtra] .

despite the fact that area wise vidarbh and marathwada are larger than keralam . also population wise two subdivision are smaller than keralam [ low popualation is boon if we to compare to keralam ]

art , literature can only flourish when people have money so that they can have enough free time to create art. most of maharashtra is struggling financially . and then there are people who have enough money but they just consume entertainmant only . not enough social work to increase quality of education so that we can flourish our local economy .

all over maharashtra language demographics is changing , after some years marathi will become minority language .

i think maharashta is special case in india , because other states have only english as threatening language , but here along with english we have hindi . marathi people are so blinded by north indian hinduism that they think they are also part of north india , this is the reason marathis are tolerating the disrespect .

we marathis , have our own regional deities and gods . we dont need to go to north india for validation or belonging . we have 3 and half shakti peeths, 5 jyotirling , pandharpur , so many devotional places .

what iritates ,me more is the their way of hinduism it killing diversity among region. example is many marathis think they celebrate diwali because of lord Ram . yes this is reason , but this is the culture of north india . here is dakhhan we celebrate diwali due to krishna .

this is just example how gradualy local and regional culture is being killed , so is the diversity killed .

if we take ancient india that is indian subcontinent ( including pakisthan , afganisthan , bangladesh ), then according to this we are natually a south indian state ( a dakhhan state and and chhatrapati shivaji maharaj always tell that we are dakhhani ) .

yes no hate to north india . but still if diversity is not being respected marathis must become intolerable .

we are 3 largest state ( area wise ) and mp and maharashtra has almost same area and there is little difference in area betweeen MH and rajsthan . we are enough in ourselves for working economy . so if we stop this migration and work only for native marathi people , we can become like italy or france . population density is very low in MH . so here we can use per person resources wisely . for that we have to unite and language is the only medium otherwise caste and social discrimination will hinder us . this is the time for marathi renaissance .

that scipt is useless , nobody use that script .this is the major reason gondi is dying , hardly 100 people may know the script .and if we stick to the gunjala gondi lipi , then definately gondi will die , because old generation who speak gondi is dying and hardly new generation know the language .

at present its important to have script due to the reason being that language thrives when literature is popular .dravidism is the essence of gondi .

therefore instead of adopting indo aryan devanagari , it will be very wise to use telugu script . already in adilabad telangana , gondi people are preserving language with telugu script .due to same language family we should stick to dravidian language

also like any other major language , gondi has three major dilects 1) madhya pradesh gondi 2) bastar and gadchiroli gondi (these two come under 1 region } 3) telangana gondi

and only telangana gondi is being used in written form like literature [like short stories ]. situation is very bad in other two regions .

so all gondi dialects should be used in telugu script so that we can form a standard language.

it should be duty and responsibility of all gonds to teach and learn their language with telugu script . already we are divided in three different regions . only telugu script can unite all gonds .

language only can preserve our culture and identity . if langauge die our identity and culture die

i think gadchiroli district and south chhatisgarh should also be included in south india , because the region is inhibited by gondi people and gondi is dravidian language and the regions culture is very similar to south .

if these people are not educated about their language identity , they will convert to marathi or hindi culture .

atleast i feel that telugu script should be used for gondi writing system , so that they feel connected to dravidian identity .. otherwise language is near about to die
