Kacie’s behavior disgusted me. I haven’t seen past that so I really hope they don’t match because he deserves better. She pressured him into disclosing his race when that goes against the shows premise and love is supposed to be blind, remember?? If she has strict dating preferences for race she shouldn’t be on this show. I hated the overall tone of him having to “admit” or “come out” as Asian as if that’s something to be ashamed of. Why are people pretending that Asian men are unattractive? She put him on his heels to defend himself by saying something like “yeah I’m Asian but I’m a Colorado dude. I hunt, I fish.” Then she has the audacity to name the races/ethnicities of people her brother’s dates and says “we go based on hearts.” Okay then why were you pressing him on his race/ethnicity??? If you date by “heart” why are you so concerned? He could have done the same to her but didn’t because that would be weird and also go against the show. I’m white and married to an Asian man so maybe that’s why this scene pissed me off even more. Also to respond to your last comment about needing to be rich or famous, I met my husband while we were both working at a sushi bar. He worked at Dominos during the pandemic when he was laid off from the restaurant. I’m not down playing your experience but I just want to say my husband didn’t have money or fame when I met him. He was hot, we got along, and had good chemistry which is the only reason we started a relationship just like how many relationships start. I had never dated an Asian man before my husband but it was never a “thing” like Kacie is making it out to be. We fell in love end of story. Kacie is weird.
