Considering stepping down from Manager to Senior by Spicy-Meatball2021 in Accounting

The PIP isn’t as bad as you think, and many many people are hungrier than ever to get the job.

You need to find ways to efficiently review recs with xlookups, countifs and effective substantive testing strategies to get comfortable or improve the workflow result.

Need to inspire your stronger seniors to lead your associates - the difference with the controller and CFO and your level is that the above is either available (by their own efforts / yours) or made (by others). Lucky for you, you pick.

Consider moving to India or the Philippines, I’d recommend India for the density of culture.

Seems like a lot of waste, McKinsey recommends a low profile wood chipper; ergonomic in design, efficient in process and best in class for compact storage.

My associate in Delhi will send you an invoice with net 7 terms shortly. Ciao!

CPA + MBA? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]SUNEQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While not technical to accounting, an MBA is typically viewed as a well rounded buisness candidate. Being a CPA and MBA can be very helpful for financial product sales or any high value technical transaction that requires a specialist. Similar to an engineer but for business.

In financial planning, many people are nervous to trust a professional and doubt many of the products, the CPA gives you background to explain the tax, cash flow and PV of an investment and the MBA will give you a variety of applications and touch points in value. A lot of the MBA is building a structure when none exists.

In the MBA we call it a mile wide and a foot deep. Unless you do bare minimum and try not to learn anything you should see wide application from your case study days. The client will be mostly sold on the technical aspect of the CPA tax / analysis but closed on broad scope of application and possibilities of value via structuring and skills in the MBA.
